Problem with bot
For some reason my edit got flagged as "nonsense" - FYI, looks like an error in the script. --Stbalbach 12:22, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Re: AWB
You should be approved by now. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 13:58, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I can't do so at the current time. I'm not familiar with AWB policies of approving and not approving bots, and nowhere on the page does it say that an admin may add an approved bot to the list at any time. I apologize for this - it's nothing personal, but I just don't feel comfortable adding that account to the list without knowing the full policies and requirements of AWB bots first. I would recommend adding your request to the requests page, where I'm sure someone more familiar with AWB can help you out and approve the bot. Thanks for your understanding! - The request for "AWB bot" should go to the CheckPage in order to request approval for AWB-bot status. The page you placed your request on, Wikipedia:Bot requests, is for asking for work to be done for robot-accounts, and its associated page, Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval, is a page where you can ask for accounts to be flagged as a "bot" so that the changes do not appear in RecentChanges. You need to get AWB-approval for "AWB-bot" status first; getting a "bot" flag is unnecessary unless the AWB account will be automated (i.e. not manually run) and/or you feel that the changes you make will be so rapid that it will clog up recent changes. I hope this clarifies things for you. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) 14:44, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
- I have removed your bot's request from Wikipedia talk:AutoWikiBrowser/CheckPage. Please seek prior approval for Firefoxbot in WP:BRFA before you ask permission for the bot to edit using AWB. Many thanks. --WinHunter (talk) 14:53, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Freud
On my edit to Freud, I was just doing a minor fix to the intro, as it doesn't sound formal and is a tad clunky. It was not vandalism and I think it was a pretty good edit. 69.209.105.235 03:12, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

I've blocked your bot account because it is too similar in name to User:Firefox and User:FireFox. It would be quite reasonable for Wikipedians to assume that the former and possibly the latter run the bot.
I suggest that if you want to run a bot in future you use the name User:Firefoxmanbot or pick an entirely different name. --kingboyk 11:50, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
