Please read WP:EL and take care not to add inappropriate external links.

Disambiguation pages only include links for material which is in the encyclopedia: there is no information about the Araya restaurant in the Dublin article, so it was an inappropriate link to the disambiguation page at Araya.

It is not appropriate to link to the website of an educational institution such as Le Cordon Bleu on the page of each graduate as you did here and elsewhere. These people will be in Category:Alumni of Le Cordon Bleu and there will be a link in the text of their article (and probably also the infobox) to Le Cordon Bleu. That's enough. Please do not add an external link to the school's website.

Multiple social media sites aren't needed when a subject has an official website, as at Yotam Ottolenghi.

Hello, I am participating and following the deletion discussion of the Arctic Adventures page. The page still needs major work. It still reads as a promotional page. You can view and respond here - https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Arctic_Adventures Csgir (talk)

Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, LFWG. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 07:58, 21 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LFWG, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]

Hello, LFWG. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "O’Briens Wine Off-Licence".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 19:32, 27 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
