Dolcett

[edit]
  • There is a discussion under way about the speedy deletion of Dolcett, which I am not happy about. I'd like to have your opinion, since I read your books, and you mention Dolcett in one of them. Do you consider Dolcett has notable, could you help in finding references (your book for instance) ? Hektor 15:40, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for the delayed answer, but I am abroad now (in England) and did not check my account for long. I am happy, you read my book. Yes, I had a note about Dolcett in one of the volumes. I think every production is important from some point of view. I mentioned Dolcett as part of the mass culture, which is the social system we live in today. So, we cannot ingnore Dolcett if there is some real achievements connected to them whatever bad or good they are. We have to know the names at least. For this reason, in my opinion, Wikipedia should have some two or three sentences about him as well.László Szegedi 09:45, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Article about Hungarian heraldry

[edit]

Hello László Szegedi, I am a Finn and I recently wrote a stub article about Hungarian heraldry. I thought to ask You to help with some translations of basic heraldic terminology in the article, which would make easier to find out more. (Terot 17:39, 11 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]

Hello Terot, I have already provide the Hungarian terms found at the site under your edition. If you need some further, please, put them to the table and I will provide the Hungarian equivalents. As regards the article itself, it is a good starting point, but as far as I can see it repeats the stereotypes about Hungarian heraldry found in the English heraldry books. I have read already more than 30 but no one gave a real picture of this heradry style. First of all, Hungarian heraldry has its own feature. So it is an exaggeration that follows the German heraldry or it is more bloody etc. The Hungarian and Central European heraldry being not grounded on the constructional view as the french or English. It is not based on the ordinaries and sub-ordinaries. I think the article should be written from the point of view of the Hungarian heraldry, not from an outside view of an English heraldrist. Anyway, I could contribute to the article continuously if you agree, to make the article as good as possible. If so, please, write to my e-mail: gryfmedia@gmail.com to be reconcile the tasks of the edition. --László Szegedi 13:36, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Albert1_JPG.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:17, 14 July 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. OsamaK 13:17, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:De Rouck színjelölési táblája.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:De Rouck színjelölési táblája.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Dutch names for colours

[edit]

Tisztelt Szegedi úr,

A hiányzó holland színnevek a "Nemheraldikus_színek_vonalkázása,.png" képen:

  • vas (iron) = ijzer
  • acél (steel) = staal
  • coboly (zibelline) = sabelmarter (szerintem nem használt a címertanunkban)
  • nyest (marten) = marter

Üdv. Belgiumból — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.82.154.121 (talk) 21:58, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kedves ismeretlen,

Pine marten

[edit]

Hello László Szegedi, I'm a Visual Communication Designer and an editor at the Spanish Wikipedia. Lately I've been expanding and improving the articles about heraldic tinctures in Spanish (or at least trying hard to), and I've been following your quite monumental work on the hatching system article with enthusiasm.
Regading this section of the article, I just wanted to point out that «pine marten» in English refers to the animal species Martes martes and not to a marten or marten fur of any colour in particular, so there's no need to speculate on the colour of pine wood.
Again congratulations for your work! -- GRuellan Hmm? 18:42, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thank you for the nice words on my work about heraldic hatching systems. As regards pine marten, and the color red, I have found the pine color in some major dictionary, maybe Webster's or something like that. As far as I can remember, it was in connection with the color of furs as well. For this reason, I have concluded it might be in relation to the red color of marten fur. Thanks again.--László Szegedi (talk) 08:08, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
