DYK for Anthony Ciulla

[edit]

On 16 September 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Anthony Ciulla, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Anthony "Big Tony" Ciulla had to enter the United States Federal Witness Protection Program after he testified in a trial about rigged horse races? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Anthony Ciulla. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Anthony Ciulla), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

A tag has been placed on Category:1754 racehorse deaths indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read! Copy-Paste

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give draft:Björn Natthiko Lindeblad a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Björn Natthiko Lindeblad. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Analog Man (instrument maker) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Analog Man (instrument maker), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. I suggest that you look for coverage of Analog Man that's in depth on the company, i.e., on its history, its founder, its products, et cetera. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's notability guideline for companies and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:40, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Kuriosatempel. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Analog Man".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted.
