Cornell

[edit]

I have just started WikiProject Cornell University, an attempt to thoroughly cover topics related to Cornell. If you would like to participate, you can visit the project page, where you can join the project and see a list of open tasks. Thanks! —mercuryboardtalk 05:23, 15 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on this project. -Erik Harris (Class of 2000)

Non-existent Halo redirects

[edit]

Hello!

I noticed you went through and marked a lot of Halo redirects for Proposed Deletion. Thanks. However, redirects which link to a non-existent article may be better served by speedy deletion, as they do fit the criteria for speedy deletion under redirect criteria 1. I have gone through and promoted (?) them all to speedy. --Signed and Sealed, JJJJust (T C) 18:47, 21 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ITT/IIT

[edit]

You'd think there would be no need for the disambiguation there (I'm getting dyslexic these days), but there's actually discussion of it at the ITT Technical Institute talk page: "This article is about the chain of technical institutes. For the private, single-campus university in Chicago (IIT), see Illinois Institute of Technology." Apparently the IIT people are sensitive about it. I'm not the soruce of the insanity, just thought the DAB page should match the notice at the top of the other article. Ojcit 22:28, 20 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are listed as a participant in this Wikiproject, which appears to have ground to a halt - I'm contacting all participants to try to get things rolling again... hope you can help! -- Medains 08:50, 26 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

List of Martial Arts

[edit]

My bad I should not have removed it. At the time I did so because I thought it was a term rather than an art - the article itself seems to make that distinction. The martial art would by Shorinji Kempo or Nippon Kempo, etc. However, we also have karate and jujutsu so again I should have left it. Perhaps the Kenpo article should be changed somewhat. As for double entries - I remember a while back there were so many it was silly. I think one should choose the best choice which would be the country of origin. Cheers Peter Rehse 00:41, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some people also practice a more "generalized" version that they simply refer to as Kempo/Kenpo, not necessarily directly part of one of the major organizations/systems of Kempo. It's not my place to judge the legitimacy of "general" Kempo training, but I know I've gotten some weird looks from people when I've asked what kind of Kempo they study. :) As you point out, though, other "umbrella" terms for groups of martial systems are also included on the list. —Erik Harris 18:05, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the Silat - just that guy keeps coming back. Anyway - thanks for keeping an eye out.Peter Rehse 00:15, 27 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kateda

[edit]

Interesting edits on the Kateda article. Can you point me in the direction of some articles on the material you mention? Punanimal 4 Mar 2007, 12:57 UTC

I don't know what edits you're talking about, Punanimal. My edits on the Kateda article have all involved fixing typos and removing non-notable references. I haven't added any material. —Erik Harris 13:29, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wong Shun Leung

[edit]

Thanks for fixing those though I'd got most but must have missed a few. --Nate1481( t/c) 08:46, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated Secret Maryo Chronicles, an article which you have created or worked on, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Secret Maryo Chronicles (3 nomination) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to address the nominator's concerns but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Tim Song (talk) 07:36, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Free images to commons

[edit]

Thank you for uploading free images/media such as File:SMC15PromoShot.png to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view previous uploads by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'file' namespace from the drop down box (or see [1]). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!--IngerAlHaosului (talk) 16:42, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
