Thanks for reverting my user page vandalism! -zappa.jake (talk) 19:09, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

Mea Culpa

Thank you for fixing my user page. I'd made them (new here, I didn't notice I'd been logged out)--my apologies, and I hope I didn't cause any trouble (I also hope this is the correct place to respond?) I'm sorry for any trouble. Zakahori 01:04, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: "Wikifriend"

Thanks! I really appreciate it. :) G.He 01:27, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

thanks friend

Hey, just saw you changed a links to a link where only one link existed. I checked the manual and it appears both are equally acceptable. Are you starting a revolution?! Just curious...! Budgiekiller 21:38, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Cool, just wondered. My crusade for grammatical correctness has taken a mortal blow in the face of Wiki-logic. Nice doing business with you! Budgiekiller 21:48, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Wow, a re-welcome after nearly 5000 edits. How cool is that?! I look forward to collaborating with you in the future! Budgiekiller 22:03, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, it's a cool template. It's the one I use to say hi to new folks. But once again thanks for the feeling of virgin-hood! Budgiekiller 22:06, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
Good spirit. That's what this whole thing should be about! Glad I've re-activated your wand. Have a good evening, look forward to bumping into you again sometime else in Wiki-Space... Budgiekiller 22:10, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

Hey, I noticed you changed the heading "References" to "External links" in the Fruit & Veg City article. However I had used the official website as my reference, so have reverted your edit. Just wanted to let you know --Joshdboz 01:08, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Re: "Welcome to Wikipedia" and "Edit Summary Request"

Kukini,

Thanks for directing me to all the help and advice articles, I'll try and stick to all the guidelines. I'm sorry about not entering edit summaries, I'll make sure to do that in future.

August Esperanza Newsletter

Program Feature: To-Do List
The Esperanza To-Do List is a place where you may list any request, big or small, for assistance. If you need help with archiving your usertalk, for example, all you need to do is list it here and somebody will help you out. Likewise, if you need help with some area of editing on Wikipedia, list it here! Again, any matter, trivial or not, can be placed on this page. However, all matters listed on this page must not be of an argumentative nature. You do not need to be a member of Esperanza (or this program) to place or fulfill requests on this page. If you don't have any requests, consider coming by and fulfilling a few! This program has not been very active, but has lots of potential!
What's New?
In order to help proposed programs become specific enough to make into full-fledged programs, the In development section of the proposals page has been created. Proposals that are promising, but need to be organized in more detail are listed here. Please take a look at what is there, and help the proposals turn into programs.
To improve both the layout and text of the front page, in an attempt to clarify the image of Esperanza, the front page is going to have some redesigning take place. Please take your creative minds to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Front page redesign to brainstorm good ideas.
Many thanks to MiszaBot, courtesy of Misza13, for delivering the newsletter.
  1. In order to make sure all users who join Esperanza are welcomed, a list of volunteers who are willing to welcome new Esperanzians is at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Members#Esperanza_welcomers. Please add yourself if you are interested; we want to make sure all new Esperanza members are welcomed!
  2. The In development section of the proposals page has been created.
  3. Proposals page: Some proposals have been moved to the aforementioned "In development" section, some have been left as a proposal, and others have been archived. For those proposals that were a good idea but didn't necessarily constitute a program, General Esperanzial Actions has been created.
  4. Two small pieces of charter reform will be decided on in a straw poll at Wikipedia talk:Esperanza/Governance. One involves filling the position of any councillors who may leave, the other involves reforming the charter.
  5. Until cooperation with the Kindness Campaign is better defined, it remains as a proposed program.
  6. There is a page for discussing the front page redesign.
Signed...
Although having the newsletter appear on everyone's userpage is desired, this may not be ideal for everyone. If, in the future, you wish to receive a link to the newsletter, rather than the newsletter itself, you may add yourself to Wikipedia:Esperanza/Newsletter/Opt Out List.

greeting

thanks, you're right im new and just finding my way around. i will be adding edit references from now on!

Please do not revert changes without cause. Edits have been explained on the talk page. 128.148.123.43 22:10, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

I hope there are now sufficient references on the page? I have removed the referecnes template. Garrie 04:54, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

Awards section

First off, define "clean". :D Would you like your awards in a gallery, in a table, or organized some other way? It's nice to hear from you again, by the way. Cheers, Sango123 02:54, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

How does it look now? I've basically been doing the same things, and apparently, it's possible to edit conflict with another admin while closing AfD's, of all things. ;) Regards, Sango123 20:20, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you, dear Kukini. I'm glad to be of help. :) Sango123 20:58, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks Kukini

Hey Kukini, you just sent me a messege to remind me about the edit summaries. Thanks a lot for the heads up, I didn't know that they were so important. I'll make sure to include an edit summary from now on. Thanks again, and keep up the good work! ;-] Istrancis 22:50, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

Your post on my talk page

Do not patronise me on my talk page. I have an extensive editing history on Wikipedia (beginning in December 2004 versus yours beginning in December 2005) and previously contributed a fair amount to the article in question, not to mention the general space of imperialism/colonialism. You are extremely rude. Gsd2000 11:39, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. - I consider your placing of a vandalism template on my talk page as vandalism itself. Therefore I am placing one on your talk page too. Please do not accuse seasoned WP editors of vandalism. Gsd2000 11:42, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Read this: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/WP:VANDAL#What_vandalism_is_not ("Wikipedians often make sweeping changes to articles in order to improve them — most of us aim to be bold when updating articles. While having large chunks of text you've written deleted, moved to the talk page, or substantially rewritten can sometimes feel like vandalism, it should not be confused with vandalism."), and then please apologise to me, on my talk page. Gsd2000 12:11, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Clearly there is a difference between seasoned and civil. Wholehanded deletions of others' work can, and often is seen as malicious. I also (as all humans) make mistakes. Numerous contributions does not a good editor make. Happy editing.Kukini 16:24, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome!

Thank you for welcoming me after my first major contribution! (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy) Would you mind just a quick once-over and giving me feedback on it? I understand that it is sparse, but is it structured well with relevant information? Thanks! Raptur

this individual has again vandalized a page, specifically that of IAH [1] i dont know if you caught that, but it seems deletion of that user should be considered.thanks Urban909

A slight modification to your welcome message box...

I changed your message box a little. I hope you like it. If not, feel free to revert. Just a heads up. Let me know if you like it. I had one of our page design experts (User:Quiddity) look at it, and he said "It was already using the WP:COLOUR greens, so I just used color-blender to make a midpoint, for the section header color. Try the other color tools if you want to experiment yourself." See ya around the wiki! --Nexus Seven 06:21, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

I just wanted to suggest that you merge (replace) {{welcomeg}} with your template, as they differ only by the lead paragraph (and now colour scheme). I'll suggest the same thing to Ashlux, as there are 3 welcome templates that are esentially identical. Thanks :) --Quiddity·(talk) 18:02, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

With regard to your post.

YOUR ORIGINAL POST: I have noted that you edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky or even vandalizing. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -- Kukini 16:50, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

MY REPLY: Thanks, I will put a note as applicable on future minor edits. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.76.202.54 (talkcontribs) .

i never edited any page about melanie griffith.

Thanks for the welcome and advice

Thank you for your help. I really should have better familiarized myself with the basics before starting but I was anxious to have some fun. I hope to do better in future. DAC1956 11:19, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

My roommates vandalism

My roommate (IP address 70.69.9.186) has been accused of vandalizing Wikipedia pages; which I agree he has. I'm still new to this myself and was wonderinging if there is a quick way to revert edits?--Nightwing86 11:32, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

School counselor

Hi: Recently, I've been doing extensive recategorization in Category:Education. This is a chore that needs to be done from time to time because editors tend to drop education-related articles into the highest level of the education category tree, and there are thousands of articles relating to education. The criteria for structuring the education articles was worked out some time ago. I think the discussion about this is probably still on the Category:Education talk page. If you would like to revisit this, I suggest that you post a comment on that talk page explaining why School counselor should be at the highest level of Category:Education. At this point, I don't have a specific opinion and I'd be interested in your comments. cheers Nesbit 19:22, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

See my comment on the School counselor talk page. Nesbit 19:54, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
By the way, I apologise for reverting your edits without discussion yesterday. I've only now realized what happened. I was plowing through a significant number of recategorizations, and when I made the second edit to School counselor I didn't recognize that I had recently made the same edit, and that you had reverted it. Nesbit 15:48, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi Kukini, I placed a categroy on Synchronized Universe‎ and it doesn't link up to the category I did the search (looked for the right category) on the wiki? Also when I place the four ~ my user name doesn't link? What am I doing wrong? Did I do anything Wrong???

Thanks for the greetings!

Dear Kukini:

I am becoming more adept but I still need lots of oversight I think. They say there are the four competencies: A) Concious Competence, B) Unconcious Competence, C) Conscious Incompetence, and D) Unconscious Incompetence. With helpful folks like you Kukini, I'll become A and B!

Sincerely,

Thanks for the welcome

Thanks for the welcome, sorry about the lack of edit summaries, I will remedy that. Also, how do you start a totally new page. The person I need to start just links to the disambig page when I link it internally. But the person isn't on that page, there are several with the same name but none that match my guy. Help?

County of Luxembourg

Hello. I just wanted to explain why I was creating a "County of Luxembourg" page. Right now, internal links for the medieval counts are usually directed at either the city of Luxembourg, the grand duchy of Luxembourg (the country/state) or the list of regents. I think it would be more useful to link to a specific page concerning the medieval county which existed for nearly 400 years. In such an article I could also explain the county's medieval subdivisions as well as how many lands commonly assumed to be part of medieval Luxembourg were actually separate counties under the same ruler/s (Durbuy, Laroche, Arlon and Namur for instance). As to sources, the data in the stub now do not require such I believe as this is pretty common information, though I will provide source data for the additions I plan (map, territorial expansion and divisions etc.).--Caranorn 20:25, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for your agreement with respect to the addition of these links. On looking at the content, it's actually potentially appropriate to add, that's why I have not continued to remove all of them (as well as the fact that I'm currently mediating a dispute in muhammed). Nice to meet you! LinaMishima 20:35, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I know exactly what you mean! Ah well... LinaMishima 20:39, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
I wasn't "spamming" the pages to which I added a link. All of the pages were directly related to the subject at hand. I used the "Articles related to" links on the "Mobbing" page for guidance. Originally the links conformed to style but I found a page where all the links were bolded so I changed my style to match. I just pasted this new style as I went. I will go back and change them to fit proper format. There are some more pages to which I would like to add the link, so with your indulgence I will continue. Thanks for the quick feedback, I should have learned more about editing before jumping right in. :) Radyx 21:16, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Summaries, of course. I've got to remember about them.

I added the following comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Robert William Lawrence

  • Keep. According to the article, Lawrence was Tasmania's first botanist.
