Nomination

[edit]

Hey,

I saw that you would be willing to nominate users to become an administrator. I'm fairly new to wikipedia, but have really been enjoying working on counter-vandalism. If you could nominate me, I'd really appreciate it.

Schuddeboomw (talk) 16:16, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page watcher)@Schuddeboomw: You obviously haven't read the requirements. Mlpearc (open channel) 16:21, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

(edit conflict):Hi Schuddeboomw. I appreciate your enthusiasm but next to my entry on that page is a set of instructuions. I think if you were to do all the reading first, you will realise that you will first need to edit Wikipedia for a long time and make several thousand edits before you will be able to demonstrate to the community that you would be competent in that role. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 16:26, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I really appreciate your response. I'll try to get some more experience and try again in a few years :). Schuddeboomw (talk) 17:31, 31 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Typos

[edit]

I found some typos on your userpage. I've been bold and I fixed them, even the one inside a blockquote, please check if my edit is correct. Thanks in advance, The Quixotic Potato (talk) 05:15, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is a comment on your AOR page

[edit]

Wonder if you noticed this? – Brianhe (talk) 09:02, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, TParis is listed as one of your reviewers, but he retired. I'm considering adopting your AOR model if my RfA passes, so I'll keep an eye on it if you decide to add a process for adding new reviewers to the list in case of retirement. – Brianhe (talk) 09:09, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Brian, I noticed it - fleetingly and with due disdain . Apparently someone out there is compiling a case against Legacypac. He'll be hoist by his own petard before the year's out and lose his Wikipedia hobby. At the moment I have absolutely no need for an AOR page, so it doesn't matter if some of them have retired. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:39, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure why you have so much distain for me. I pointed out a factual error in a decision and you went all ape about it. Anyway have a nice day. Legacypac (talk) 17:32, 4 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RfA

[edit]

Are you still taking nominations? Consider Oshwah. I'm not pinging them since I prefer talking about people behind their back. Edits like this one are impressive; if they are prowling ANI like a wanna-be admin, they're doing a really good job. If that picture on their user page is him, he's a bit too young and hipster for my taste, but hey, not everyone can be as seasoned and wise as you and me. Dad bods are hot. I hear (not often enough).Drmies (talk) 02:31, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Drmies. I'l take a look. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:35, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies: Oshwah currently has a poll going at ORCP if you care to leave a comment... --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:36, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for supporting my RfA

Thank you for participating at my RfA. Your support was very much appreciated even if I did get a bit scorched. Brianhe (talk) 02:46, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for participating and supporting at my RfA. It was very much appreciated, and I am humbled that the community saw fit to trust me with the tools. Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 03:12, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Last December, I invited you to share your views on the value of Wikimedia conferences and the planning process of Wikimania. We have completed analysis of these results and have prepared this report summarizing your feedback and important changes for Wikimania starting in 2018 as an experiment. Feedback and comments are welcome at the discussion page. Thank you so much for your participation. I JethroBT (WMF), Community Resources, 22:47, 8 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Standard Offer unblock request at User talk:Sabinbik

[edit]

You blocked this user in December 2014 for sockpuppetry, and there was more socking as recently as August 2015. That's six months ago now, and at their SPI they seem like a genuine editor who was just getting things wrong, so do you have any objection to a Standard Offer unblock? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:45, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No objection. Do whatever you think is best. I trust your judgement. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:21, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll just wait and see what Ponyo says too in case I've missed anything, but hopefully we can let this one back in - and I'll keep an eye on their work for a little while afterwards. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:27, 20 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
