Orphaned non-free media (Image:NeighborhoodAmerica logo.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:NeighborhoodAmerica logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 00:09, 26 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:INgage-Networks-Headquarters.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:INgage-Networks-Headquarters.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:00, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

INgage Networks

[edit]

The article still reads like a press release, and accordingly I have replaced the tag. The article still reads like it came straight off the company web site. In particular, the timeline section seems to have facts that would most likely be known only by a company insider. I am very concerned that you have some connection to the company, given that almost all of your edit history at Wikipedia involves this article or the one about the company under its previous name. If you are connected somehow with the company, you are running afoul of Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines. Please identify what connection you have (or don't).

As a journalist and editor, I see hundreds of press releases a year. This looks like many of them. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 03:43, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Realkyhick Thank you for clarifying. Full disclosure, yes I do work for the company INgage Networks as its marketing director. I was not previously aware of the need for COI disclosure but have now learned and will continue to do my best to abide by Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I do apologize for the confusion.

Regarding the article, I have included only those timeline facts that can be referenced/cited and have been publicly disclosed. This is my good faith attempt and I don't believe I am in violation of guidelines, but look to your editing expertise to help improve. Thanks, KristiGNA (talk) 16:21, 5 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Page titles

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Neighborhood America a different title by copying its content and pasting it into INgage Networks. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Global-fleet, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an acceptable page. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this page is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. As well as removing promotional phrasing, it helps to add factual encyclopaedic information to the page, and add citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the page will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Niteshift36 (talk) 17:52, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

CSI Enterprises

[edit]

Okay, but you need to do a bit of work on this article first. At the moment it is borderline promotional. Deb (talk) 20:42, 29 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deb I have reviewed the article again to identify the promotional tone. The only area I can pinpoint is the award references. I will scale that back as follows - would this be sufficient to remove the advert warning tag from the article?

Original: CSI introduced a mobile version of globalVCard in 2011, enabling the creation of single-use virtual card numbers from a mobile device.[3] This mobile innovation was honored by PYMNTS.com in 2013, winning The Ultimate Entrepreneurial Challenge.[4]

In 2013, CSI and MasterCard publicly announced an alliance that would bring a joint virtual card solution to banks and corporates.[5] The agreement leverages CSI’s proprietary technology and enablement services to help customers capture more payables spend on virtual cards.[6] In 2014, globalVCard was honored as a Red Herring Top 100 North America winner,[7] recognizing the year’s most promising private technology companies in the North America, and as a Top 20 Most Promising Travel and Hospitality Technology Solutions by CIO Review.[8]

I would rewrite as: CSI introduced a mobile version of globalVCard in 2011, enabling the creation of single-use virtual card numbers from a mobile device.[3] In 2013, CSI and MasterCard publicly announced an alliance that would bring a joint virtual card solution to banks and corporates.[5] The agreement leverages CSI’s proprietary technology and enablement services to help customers capture more payables spend on virtual cards.[6] In 2014, globalVCard won the 2014 Red Herring Top 100 award[7] and was named among the top 20 travel and hospitality technology solutions by CIO Review.[8]

Does that work - or any other suggestions? Thank you for your help. KristiGNA (talk) 14:46, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • One of the most basic questions here is whether or not the company passes WP:NOTABILITY or not. There needs to be significant coverage by reliable third party sources. Press releases and mentions don't make that happen. Nor does a local paper reprinting press releases. That's truly where we need to start this process.
