Ulmus minor subspecies sarniensis.
Hello. The source I cited at the end of these two sentences that you deleted -
Its clonal origin is (to date) suspected rather than proved, but the uniformity of this taxon makes it virtually certain to be a clone. Arguing in a 2002 paper that there was no clear distinction between species and subspecies, and suggesting that known or suspected clones of U. minor, once cultivated and named, should be treated as cultivars, Dr Max Coleman of Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh preferred the designation U. minor 'Sarniensis'.[1]
- supports the second sentence; the first sentence was the same author's response to my query about the second sentence. The two go together. But I'm happy to add "apparent". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.32.51.236 (talk) 11:39, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

- Yeah, after ArbCom, I might just call it quits and move on. HalfHat 12:17, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
My changes.
I dont care if you change the biography. Even when I read it the news and dates were all off. You can do what you want, these living people have poor biography citations. It is not wise to trust them.
change on "red mercury"
i put that there as an alert to a moderator that there is misleading and incorrect data there. the sentence talks about mercury iodide, a known compound and describes it after the first part of the sentence misleads about it being a hoax compound red mercury.
see vvv
"According to the hoax, mercuric iodide is a poisonous, odorless, tasteless, water-insoluble scarlet-red powder that becomes yellow when heated above 126 °C, due to a thermochromatic change in crystalline structure.[1][2]"
no, it is not a hoax, it is a real compound called mercury iodide that has those properties. this is wrong and the compound/substance in question is red mercury, whatever it may be.
General Sanctions Notification
Please read this notification carefully:
A community discussion has authorised the use of general sanctions for pages related to the Gamergate controversy.
The details of these sanctions are described here.
General sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimise disruption in controversial topic areas. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to these topics that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behaviour, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. An editor can only be sanctioned after he or she has been made aware that general sanctions are in effect. This notification is meant to inform you that sanctions are authorised in these topic areas, which you have been editing. It is only effective if it is logged here. Before continuing to edit pages in these topic areas, please familiarise yourself with the general sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.
This message is informational only and does not imply misconduct regarding your contributions to date.
I know you were already aware of the situation, but this is to try and resolve the current complaint. Hasteur (talk) 13:44, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
Biographies of Living People Special Enforcement notice
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Does that mean I am considered notified in controversial areas regarding blps?,thanks Avono (talk) 09:20, 5 December 2014 (UTC)
- If you look at the last bullet in that section, it lists Articles with biographical content relating to living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Topic ban
The following sanction has been imposed on you:
Avono (talk · contribs) is banned from editing any pages related to GamerGate controversy, broadly construed, or from making any edits in other areas that discuss the same, for a period of 30 days. An exception is made for participating at WP:ARBGG.
You have been sanctioned for linking to content that violates Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living people, as well as editing against consensus in a controversial area.
This sanction is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator as authorised by the community's decision at WP:GS/GG, and the procedure described by the general sanctions guidelines. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions for that decision. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction at the administrators' noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. The WordsmithTalk to me 20:41, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
Pygmy goat entry
Pygmy goats are not milking animals. They are meat type animals bred for more muscle and heavier bone than their dairy counterparts, the Nigerian Dwarf goat. Here in the US they are mainly kept for purposes of pets. In their country of origin they are eaten and milked. However, they are not classified as a dairy goat. Please change the entry to reflect this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.81.227.101 (talk) 17:40, 8 December 2014 (UTC)

I just updated the information. The official name of the competition is "Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban" and winners get a contract with MCA Music. No longer Viva Philippines as of 2012. The prize money is also no longer Php 1,000,000.00 in cash. It's now Php 500,000.00 in cash, Php 300,000.00 album start up budget, and Php 200,000.00 in a Red Horse Beer endorsement contract (to be liquidated within one year upon winning).
Thank you.

Spiked and transphobia
Please stop refactoring my comments. You have done so 3 times now. I think you are misinterpreting BLPREMOVE. Given your earlier ANI case, I think you may be under the misapprehension that 'transphobic' is some kind of content-free attack. It is not; it is a reasonable description of the content in question. Now back off. AlexTiefling (talk) 15:17, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- @AlexTiefling: from the wikipedia Article:
Transphobia (or less commonly transprejudice) is a range of antagonistic attitudes and feelings against transsexuality and transsexual or transgender people, based on the expression of their internal gender identity (see Phobia – Terms for prejudice). Researchers describe transphobia as emotional disgust, fear, anger or discomfort felt or expressed towards people who do not conform to society's gender expectations,[1][2] and say that although it is an aspect of homophobia,[3][4] and is similar to racism and sexism, those attitudes are becoming generally unacceptable in modern society
and WP:BLPTALKContentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced and not related to making content choices should be removed, deleted, or oversighted, as appropriate
. So Yes I fell justified removing these remarks about living people, focus on the content issue not the author. Avono (talk) 15:22, 6 January 2015 (UTC)- Re-read what you have been editing. I used the term to describe the opinions, not their author. And the content issue is that you needlessly restored a request for the inclusion of an extreme fringe position, submitted by an apologist for eugenics. AlexTiefling (talk) 15:29, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- no you said "It's just the (insert blp violation here) opinion" that is an opinion about the author just as you did again towards the IP that submitted it.I appeal to you that you stop making personal opinions about other editors/authors in the article talk page and then I will leave you alone. The only "crime" the author is guilty of is having "misgendered" the subject (which is a really low point to start accusing someone of being transphobic). Avono (talk) 15:43, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Need Help in building an article
Hi Avono,
Thanks for your feedback, please help me with the corrections/editing i need to make to improve the article i submitted earlier. I didn't intend to make it a promotional article, please provide necessary guidelines on how i can improve to look more like an information rather than a promotion. My major areas of concern are listed below:
1. Citations/references: What kind of sources are considered reliable? are PR article not a worthy source for wikipedia? how many minimum references can we have in a wiki article? 2. Can we give youtube links as reference?
Please help with these queries.

red mercury
regarding http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Red_mercury and http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Mercury%28II%29_iodide , there is mention of HgI2, mercuric iodide, mercury II iodide being red mercury on the ""red mercury" page with no source that says it is red mercury. it has ended up on the mercury II iodide page also under "other names" as the alpha (α) form. the compound is red, it does has mercury in it, but it is not red mercury. it is a red salt of mercury. alchemists may have even called it red mercury but it is not the red mercury of the cold war nuclear bomb scare, to my knowledge. which according to the page has been hoax substances and compounds of mercury with antimony. even if mercury II iodide was sold as red mercury to people looking for the mythical substance, this does not make it red mercury. there is supposedly an alchemical substance called the red stone, which is supposedly made by some form of mercury, but that doesn't mean that the page about the philosophers stone should list that it is a nuclear bomb component sought by terrorists unless it is one and the same substance as the philosophers stone. in that case the compound/substance would have it's own page and reference red mercury and the philosophers stone and say what it used to be thought to be or speculated to be and what hoax substances were sold as it. not to mention the world may be a different kind of place, hopefully for the better, if that is the case. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.123.122.58 (talk) 22:42, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

I ask that you voluntarily not restore it lest we inflame a very sensitive and contentious issue. Thank you. Gamaliel (talk) 19:28, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Gamaliel:I sincerely protest this removal
- he posted this in his blog post
In other news, the Wikimedia Foundation’s PR Office is reportedly distributing talking points seeking to discredit me
(this is a conspiracy accusation) - He made claims about editors without proof that they were throwaway accounts (thus erroneous accusations)
- He called masem a rape appologist here [2].
- I request that you reinsert my comment with the my accusation that he perpetrated them removed (that is only slight blp violation). Avono (talk) 19:42, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- I suspect he is probably right that WMF PR is "seeking to discredit" him as I take that to mean they are just pointing out to people expressing concern that Mark is spectacularly wrong about pretty much everything he is talking about. That said, I think you should lay off him as it is just fueling his ire. Nothing he has done up to this point would be sufficient basis for a site-ban.--The Devil's Advocate tlk. cntrb. 23:17, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah thats probably good advice. I am just worried of the incoming media blitz because of his half truths, at least Arbcom didn't let them get swayed from them. Avono (talk) 23:28, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
- In b4 "Wikipedia bans five female feminists who were being harassed by throwaway sock-puppet MRA accounts!" and the ensuing "five gals" controversy.--The Throwaway Advocate tlk. cntrb.02:10, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
- @The Devil's Advocate: You should stick with that new signature, looks good to you. If I were you I wouldn't be edit warning/squabbling with Ruylong on Jimbo's talkpage as the arbs still have the opportunity to vote on your site ban. Don't make a bad impression if you want to stay here :).Just some friendly advice. Avono (talk) 10:10, 26 January 2015 (UTC)

Hello Avono,
It appears you accidentally gave this editor the Gender Gap sanctions notice instead of the GamerGate sanctions notice. Not surprising, as both have double Gs. I hope there are no sanctions regarding the Golden Gate Bridge. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 04:17, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
- see T:DSA under GG. I think it is the correct code. ggtf seems to be for the task force. Avono (talk) 09:44, 9 February 2015 (UTC)
Discretionary sanction
In accordance with the GamerGate discretionary sanctions, you are hereby prohibited from addressing or referring to MarkBernstein, from editing his userspace, and from otherwise interacting with him, anywhere on Wikipedia. This is to prevent further disruption caused by your repeated attacks on him and his reputation, and for bringing his name up in unrelated threads while he is blocked. You may appeal this sanction in accordance with the procedure at WP:ACDS#Appeals. I strongly recommend you keep your distance from MB, and I will advise him to reciprocate; there is absolutely no need to attack somebody's person in order to disagree with their opinion (and as a matter of fact I sympathise more with your opinion than with his, but where I have expressed my disagreement, I have argued against his statements, not against his person). HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:41, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks. I can see that I was getting too emotionally invested in this conflict therefore I will not dispute this at the moment and use it as an opportunity to calm down.Avono (talk) 18:39, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
- Honestly, I think that's an excellent approach. Thank you, HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 00:34, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

Gamergate Controvesy: In Popular Culture
Anita Sarkessian posted her reaction to Indimidation Game via Twitter, and after some discussion it was retained. Why, then, not Alex Lifschitz's reaction in the same forum? kencf0618 (talk) 16:41, 14 February 2015 (UTC)

Lucie Arnaz's religion
Dear Krano,
The reason I have added her religion is since I could not find anywhere where she states it I thought I should contact her on her website. I emailed her a question of if she follows a religion and 2 days later I got an email from her website saying that she 'was raised Catholic and currently attends the Unity church'. If you want to find out for yourself ask her the same question as I did and see what the answer is.

Hi,
I appreciate your enthusiasm to maintain wikipedia. However you would agree with me that everyone will not have knowledge about everything. My page with title "Yateesh M. Acharya" was flagged and subsequently deleted from wikipedia. Could you please tell me on what grounds you remove the contents about a celebrity or an artist? A lot of people get benefited with information about such notable artist. I'm sorry but we need to stop this vandalism.

GGC Notice
Couldn't tell if you got one of these. Looking at the logs, it doesn't look like you got one.
Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to, (a) GamerGate, (b) any gender-related dispute or controversy, (c) people associated with (a) or (b), all broadly construed, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.ForbiddenRocky (talk) 15:14, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. BENN JORDAN
This article has been tagged for deletion and is quite dubious as the musician clearly wrote it himself, is not notable, and has 18 seperate articles for purported releases that are unsourced, not notable or never actually released. Total Puff Piece. Please assist by locking page to amateur editors, and ensure the deletion process runs its course on the talk page
