Overall, good ideas on how you are planning to improve the article. There are many diseases in tropical areas so maybe you can mention a few big or popular in media ones and elaborate on them (how much research has been done, if there are any vaccinations/cures, etc.). Also, I like the idea of mentioning the US militar's effort. I know that the US Army requires its soldiers to receive a ton of immunizations, even the ones you can't usually get in civilian worlds (even anthrax vaccines! I don't know if it's actually effective). Also, depending on which new sections you are trying to add, you might want to switch the structure of the original article a little bit. Maybe start with some history instead of Training.

[edit]I am really interested in the content that you are planning to add in, especially challenges to tropical medicine and neglected tropical disease, but I am not sure what content will you put in challenges to tropical medicine. I am confused because I do not know what those challenges are, like challenges to get tropical medicine or challenges to put tropical medicine into clinical use? If you are going to include different challenges in this section, I recommend you list them out in “content” part. If you are going to introduce one type of challenges, I suggest you clarify the subtitle. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yakun Fu (talk • contribs) 17:59, 22 February 2018 (UTC)
__ I think this is a very good article to work on as will benefit from your efforts and it is also an interesting topic. The areas that you have mapped out to add content look good--in this next phase, simply work on expanding from within. Some of the sentences should be rephrased to be more in line with reference-style writing (short, declarative sentences with relevant citations). For example, these sentences could be rephrased so they are more definitive (maybe also include numbers/specific details on this demographic): "The training in Tropical Medicine is quite different between countries. Most physicians are trained at Institutes of Tropical Medicine or incorporated into the training of Infectious Diseases." Amyc29 (talk) 01:33, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
