Eta Carinae needs talk

[edit]

Kometsuga-san, I see we have a bit of reverting about Eta Carinae lately on List of most luminous stars. I have been calling for more careful sourcing for this table lately, and hope you will join in making it more credible. Can you please add a note in the edit summary when you revert? New editors need to know what they are doing wrong. Also, if the history has reminders about references for lots of edits, that helps let people know that we are really serious about that need. Even better, put an explanation on the talk page for a complex situation (like Eta Carinae). I've put notes on the talk page, but it won't be of much use if it is only one editor talking to himself. (I have also put a message on 219.78.160.69's talk page, by the way, but I think the problem needs more visibility.) Thanks. Wwheaton (talk) 03:55, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
