Adoption

[edit]

Hi there! I'm Tellyaddict and I'm n experienced editor here on Wikipedia, I noticed you are seeking adoption as part of the adoption programme. I can help you with alomost anything on Wikipedia, if I cannot help I will point you in the right direction, please leave me a note on my talk page if you wish to be adopted by me and if you do please replace the seeking adoption userbox on your userpage with {{adopter|Tellyaddict}}. Thank you! Tellyaddict 12:05, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No thank you. I put the wrong tag on my user page. My bad. --Masterpedia 05:18, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy copyvio

[edit]

Hi, I saw you tagged a bunch of articles with the speedy copyvio tag. When you do that, please don't forget to leave the person who added the copyvio (usually the article creator) a no-thanks message. You can copy & paste that from the bottom of the db-copyvio tag after you placed that on the article. Thanks, Garion96 (talk) 22:00, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the note. Will leave a no-thanks message,from this point forward.--Masterpedia 02:02, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: your recent aiv submission.

[edit]

Thank you for making a report on Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. Reporting and removing vandalism is vital to the functioning of Wikipedia and all users are encouraged to revert, warn, and report vandalism. However, administrators are generally only able to block users if they have received a recent final warning (one that mentions that the user may be blocked) and they have recently vandalized after that warning was given. The reported user has not yet been blocked because it appears this has not occurred yet. If this user continues to vandalize even after their final warning, please report them to the AIV noticeboard again. Thank you! --wL<speak·check> 03:30, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

db-copyvio Template

[edit]

Thanks for helping out over at WP:SCV! Here's a tip for using the {{db-copyvio}} tag: The format {{db-copyvio|http://url}} works only with simple URLs. For complicated URLs, such as those containing a question mark, you have to use the format {{db-copyvio|url=http://url}}. Otherwise, the template can't parse the URL and it gets lost when the template expands. The url= preserves the URL. Thanks again for helping keep WP copyvio free! --Butseriouslyfolks 03:03, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the help. --Masterpedia 03:29, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Careful...

[edit]

You just posted a redundant copyvio warning about Milton Bryce‎ to User talk:Timb001‎. I've reverted it (along with posting another copyvio warning about yet another spam page...time to get out the clue stick on this guy...). --Finngall talk 16:20, 6 April 2007 (UTC) [reply]

National Party of Northern Ireland

The article on politics.ie/wiki was written by me, and I also posted it here.--padraig3uk 15:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw the tag is removed. --Masterpedia 19:17, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

I need help with another user. MSJapan has been harrassing me and I have asked him repeatedly to leave me alone and he refuses. he seems to have taken a personal interest in articles I have written and seems hell bent on taking issue with everything. I do not want trouble with him anymore, I just want him to leave me alone. Can you help me with this please. Jokerst44 04:41, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm more than happy for a third party to intercede, as I believe things will speak for themselves, so if you're so inclined, be my guest. MSJapan 04:48, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes things will speak for themselves...all I want is for MSJapan to leave me alone. I do not see why that is too much to ask for. I feel it is fair for him to abide by my wishes, which are clear, leave me alone. It's all I ask..nothing more, nothing less. Jokerst44 04:51, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have edited the article and voted in the afd to keep. My position could have bias, I would recommend WP:MEDCAB --Masterpedia 15:19, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bears work portal - Color Change

[edit]

We are considering changing the color in the Bears' infobox to shades blue and orange that have a closer resemblance to the team's actual colors. Please voice your opinion at the User talk:Happyman22/Bears work portal. Thanks for your time. --  ShadowJester07  ►Talk  18:29, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Will take a look at it thanks.--Knowpedia 20:37, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Response

[edit]

Hi, this is a response to your question/comment on my talk page. I dunno, sorry. Maybe we were "fighting" some vandalism at one time. Maybe you saw my breakdown, a bit ago when I got banned after getting so upset at another editor that seemed to be just starting trouble for the sake of it. It's all cool now though. But, I don't recognise you, except for the fact that your user name resembles "Wikipedia." Cheers! - Jeeny Talk 20:51, 8 May 2007 (UTC) Your talk page is confusing to me. It will not let me leave an edit summary, WTH? - Jeeny Talk 20:51, 8 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Hi. I saw you tagged this for SD an hour ago. Apparently an IP has edited it quite heavily after this, so it looks pretty different (still I think the article lacks notability). The IP also deleted your tag, and I don't know if it's right to revert it or put in another SD tag? That's why I undid my revert to your version! Grinder0-0 20:07, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DeLarge added the tag (CSD A7)[1]. --Knowpedia 22:08, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Where are you going and why?

[edit]

I hope you are just taking a break and are not leaving because of frustration. I understand though, but we need you (I've been there). If you need a break, take it, but do not desert us, please? Take care. - Jeeny Talk 05:23, 14 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Hello Knowpedia, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Oceanic.svg) was found at the following location: User:Knowpedia/userboxhaven. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 03:06, 17 May 2007 (UTC) [reply]

I note that the existing project page listed above is probably actually eligible for deletion based on the fact that other new members have joined. Have you considered perhaps changing the scope of the project, and its name, to something which would add other political parties to the project's scope? By doing so, you would probably get more members, and even if you were the only member dedicated to content regarding the Centrist Party, the other members would likely, at least once in a while, work on content relating to it as well, particuarly if a collaboration were established. Canada already has a similar project, Wikipedia:WikiProject Political parties and politicians in Canada. Anyway, just an idea. Contact me at my talk page if you would be interested in doing so, and I can try to help adjust the page and related pages accordingly. John Carter 22:16, 18 June 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Admin coaching

[edit]

I noticed you signed up for a coach (if you already have one, please let me know). I'm available (you'll be getting a whole team of coaches if you choose me, as I don't work alone - it's more fun this way). I do have a couple of conditions though, and they are that you...

  1. don't go for your RfA or accept an RfA nomination until I think you are ready. My co-coaches and I generally co-nominate our students when the time seems right.
  2. take the advice provided by your various co-coaches and your fellow students to heart (this will be a group effort).

Please let me know if you agree, and we can get started.

Fair use disputed for Image:Prlogo-bw.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Prlogo-bw.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:03, 16 September 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Logo-register-com.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Logo-register-com.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:26, 30 December 2007 (UTC) [reply]
