U up podcast moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, U up podcast, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - Hi - I wanted to offer you a bit more detail on why I draftified this new article. At present, it doesn't appear to contain enough independent secondary sources to establish notability. The first two sources were links to the podcast itself - these are primary sources; the Broadway World article appears to be a routine announcement of an event, presumably a rehashed press release, and so not independent; and the New York Comedy Festival link is an advert, so again, not independent - none of these contribute towards notability per WP:GNG. The Chicago Tribune article is possibly better - I can't assess the quality of the source (I'm in the UK so the content is blocked), but at least it's an independent source. We need multiple such sources to establish notability however. I've looked for more reliable sources online and I didn't find any, but rather than nominate for deletion I've draftified it in the hope that you might be able to find more sources and improve it. Let me know if you have any questions, or if you would like me to take a look at any sources you find about the podcast. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 16:53, 12 September 2019 (UTC)
Hi again! I don't want to submit my draft for approval unless it feels like it's significant;y better than it was after my first attempt. I have 4 new third party sources (Seattle Times and Elite Daily among others). From your point of view, does this look like a fully built out page? Or should I keep digging up other news sources that talk about the U Up podcast and the live shows this fall? Thanks for your help and expertise! Hi [User:Girth Summit] -- I wanted to call out the 3 best sources here that I think indicate this is a notable podcast worth having its own wiki page. As the fanbase grows, I'm sure there will be more press, but for now, these three sources are reputable and support notability. They are as follows: 1. The Washington Post - 5 Dating App Mistakes You're Probably Making According to the Hosts of U Up (https://www.washingtonpost.com/express/2019/01/24/dating-app-mistakes-youre-probably-making-according-folks-behind-u-up/) 2. Chicago Tribune - The ‘U Up?’ podcast duo is coming to Chicago — with no-nonsense advice for dating in the city (https://www.chicagotribune.com/lifestyles/ct-life-betches-dating-show-chicago-20190812-5ey5x2jec5gxdgrxen3ayrkjwu-story.html) 3. E Online - "Listen Up, Gigi Hadid: This Is What Tyler Cameron Is Looking For in a Partner"(https://www.eonline.com/news/1068644/listen-up-gigi-hadid-this-is-what-tyler-cameron-is-looking-for-in-a-partner)

- I realised that nobody had welcomed you properly. The above template is a bit impersonal, but the links are pretty useful and should help you get started. Cheers GirthSummit (blether) 19:57, 12 September 2019 (UTC)

Thank you for the feedback -- these feel like achievable changes I can make with a little bit more research and re-writing the live show portion. I'll get on that this week and see if it's starting to shape up. Thank you!! KnowledgeGoddessDC (talk) 19:48, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
