LacusCurtius outage

[edit]

The University of Chicago has decided permanently to cut off a number of private servers from the University network. Lacus is one of those affected; I have a couple of offers to host the site. When I have fuller information, I'll post to Twitter (@LacusCurtius). 24.136.11.43 (talk) 20:45, 14 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for sending this answer! I am a great fan of LacusCurtius and would be sad to see it gone forever. Hope the situation can be solved soon! -KnightofFaerië (talk) 07:27, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It appears to be up again today, is the problem fixed? -KnightofFaerië (talk) 08:40, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to get back to you so late, not a frequent visitor to Wickedpedia; yes, problem fixed — and thanx for the kind words! 24.136.11.43 (talk) 18:37, 13 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome!

[edit]

Hello there! I saw your edits on spolia opima; fine work! If you're interested in antiquity, as your user page says, I'd recommend something like joining Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical Greece and Rome. There really is lots of stuff to improve and update on the classics pages, which are really inundated with "Livy said" and "This 200 year old book says".

Here's a'welcome. Ifly6 (talk) 19:44, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Sorry for being so late in responding! But could you please tell me a bit more about what that would entail? -KnightofFaerië (talk) 14:11, 8 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detectedthat when you recently edited Christian Charles Josias von Bunsen, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heinrich von Bülow. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:49, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
