Emailed response to Professor Chris Seeman and also updated original pages with GFDL taglines from merp.com. Anything else to do to remove from "speedy deletion" process?

[edit]

I have emailed verification that I am the original author of the biography of Professor Seeman on merp.com and merpcon.org. as well as updated the articles on those sites giving the GFDL permissions line at the end.

Anything else you need from me? Thanks! Kmleon 18:09, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just received a bounce for that email I sent. Turns out I had a one character typo in the email. I just resent it. Kmleon 05:33, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Collective delusion

[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Collective delusion, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but yours may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.

Do you have any citable references for this term? You seem familiar with its usage. LessHeard vanU 11:27, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sadly, I have turned off the Tor routers at the IP address. I think it's terrible what wikipedia is doing with the WAY they are using blacklisting rather than a more intelligent process to deal with real abusers, and strongly oppose the current Wikipedia methodology. I ask you to please respond and cooperate with the Tor developers in following their reasonable suggestions on an intelligent method for dealing with abuse.

But for now I have to cave in to your oppressive ways on this issue. :-(

I have turned off the router services. Please remove the IP 207.224.113.38 from your blocklist/blacklist.

Thank you.

Request reason:

But this IP is my home IP (which is static). What am I supposed to do with the response of "the simplest thing to do right now is not use what was once the TOR node to edit from."? I'm afraid I don't understand what more you want me to do at this point. Please clarify. The TOR is off. So why can't it be removed from the Wikipedia blacklist/blocklist? Please unblock, or else advise what more is needed to be done. Thank you. Kmleon 10:05, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Decline reason:

According to this, the IP address listed above is still an active TOR server. — Yamla 14:42, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You can run TOR, but its exit policy must have "reject 66.230.200.100:*" (wikimedia.org). We'll unblock you as soon as http://torstatus.kgprog.com/tor_exit_query.php clears you. --  Netsnipe  ►  13:06, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It is no longer showing up in that list. Please remove your blocking. Kmleon 10:01, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Chris Seeman

[edit]

An editor has nominated Chris Seeman, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chris Seeman and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 13:00, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately I missed the deletion, here is some information that is notable. Chris Seeman was an editor for Iron Crown Enterprises, publisher of Other Hands Magazine, and author of the following ICE MERP and Decipher LotR rpg books:

   *  Kin-strife (1995)
   * Southern Gondor: The Land (1996)
   * Southern Gondor: The People (1996)
   * The Northern Waste (1997)
   * Hands of the Healer (1997)
   * Fell Beasts and Wondrous Magic (2003)
   * Moria (2003)

Is the above sufficient for notability, or if I recreate the page will it just be deleted again as insufficient?

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Tolkienmoot may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hello Kmleon,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, WSTRA, may be copied from http://www.wstra.org/about.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 22:35, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited WSTRA, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Washington State and Cheney (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:32, 27 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Chris Seeman

[edit]

Hello Kmleon,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Chris Seeman for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. David Condrey (talk) 09:07, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article WSTRA has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NORG

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Jmertel23 (talk) 00:20, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Kmleon/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. – Fayenatic London 11:38, 27 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
