Having grown up in congregations with the "church of Christ" designation — and being granddaughter of an elder, niece of a preacher, and a graduate of one of the universities — I admire your willingness to take on the task of the Churches of Christ article, as well as your attempts to be fair, thorough, and open-minded in the pursuit of a good article. You might try looking for a copy of the latest version of Handbook of Denominations (though I know many in the c of C would bristle at the title!) for a model of presenting doctrines and history in a way that respects the internal viewpoint while providing knowledge in a style accessible to the broader population.
