On 30 January 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Emany Mata Likambe, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Emany Mata Likambe, Zaire's former ambassador to Poland, was discovered homeless and living on the streets of Warsaw in 1994 after his government had failed to pay him for over two years? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Emany Mata Likambe. A barnstar for you!

The Original Barnstar
Re Albert Robles project: Hi I submitted Albert Robles. I know little about how to properly use Wikipedia, I'm sure that was obvious. I had been seeing the other Robles' Wikipedia for close to a decade and just kept hoping someone would create one for the other Albert Robles. I finally bit the bullet and did the submission in hopes someone would pick it up and finish it. I think you did a great job and want to both thank you for cleaning up my mess and I sincerely apologize to you for submitting and then just hanging on for someone like you, who knows what they are doing, to do it right. if this is inapporopriate I apologize and it is ok to delete this. But I did want to express my gratitude for your hard work.BTW the judge in the Quo Warranto case handed down a tentative ruling this Tuesday that Robles will be removed from the WRD seat subject to an appeal he will be able to file by May 29, 2018. if not judgment in favor of the DA will be entered Chemeria (talk) 14:53, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've learned the hard way that "closing AfD discussions you've commented on" is not the place to be bold . In this case I agree that it will be kept per the improvements, but I expect someone will re-close it based on the AN thread. power~enwiki (π, ν) 00:52, 23 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2019 US Banknote Contest

[edit]
US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here

Paul Marsh (politician) moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Paul Marsh (politician), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – robertsky (talk) 23:47, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I commented it when I moved it to the draft space; there are no other sources I could find. But he holds a state-wide office, which to me makes him notable. I guess I'll wait until he wins the election (I think he's unopposed), cite that, and try again. ErieSwiftByrd (talk) 02:47, 29 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
