[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Jude Calvert-Toulmin has been reverted.
Your edit here to Jude Calvert-Toulmin was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://capturafilmes.blogspot.com/, http://www.judecalverttoulmin.blogspot.com/2012/01/mercy-from-frontier-media-on-dvd.html) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 23:04, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.--Hu12 (talk) 23:33, 3 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. --Hu12 (talk) 00:37, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the content I added this morning to this page. As a fan of the subject I wanted to add some of her recent output to the Wikipedia page, but was not aware that blogs are not permitted to be linked as I have seen some on pages of other artists I'm a fan of. I am reading more about Wikipedia and will not add further content to any subjects until I'm completely across the guidelines. Kimmy L-F (talk) 06:50, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Jude Calvert Toulmin Book Reading Shot.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 01:51, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I obtained the photo from the subject's blog and have now contacted her to ensure that I am able to use on this page. Once I have that permission and cite the source am I able to reload? I have removed now as today was my first attempt at editing a Wikipedia page and I do not want to jeopardise the work of other people before me. Kimmy L-F (talk) 06:44, 4 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback

[edit]

While I am not an admin; I don't think things have changed much in the last 7 years. I suggest taking an interest in some other articles. If you enjoy copyediting, there's lots more to do. This link will give you a random page that needs copyediting (or pick one yourself from Category:Wikipedia articles needing copy edit). In any case, welcome to Wikipedia!  :-) Hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Article "userfied"

[edit]

I have userfied the article for you - moved it into a page in your user space - at User:Kimmy L-F/Jude Calvert-Toulmin where you can work on it. However, I must advise you against putting too much effort into this. People tend to think that any published author must be notable if you search enough for references, but the bar is actually quite high - see WP:AUTHOR as an indication that in interpreting the WP:General notability guideline in these cases the word significant is taken seriously. For self-published authors in particular notability is hard to establish.

Another point to make is that non-notable activities in many spheres (actress, photographer, interviewer, author... ) do not accumulate to make notability. I suggest reading Wikipedia:No amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability and WP:42.

Now that the article has been deleted at AfD you should not simply put it back into the main space - if you do, it is likely to be speedily deleted. What you should do is, first ask the closing admin (me) if he thinks you have overcome the reasons for deletion. If not, you can go to WP:Deletion review, but read the instructions carefully - it is not a forum for continuing in another place an argument you lost at AfD, what you will need to argue there is either that I decided the discussion wrongly or that there is new information (like new references) which was not available at the AfD and which overcome the reasons for deletion given there.

If you have any questions, ask them below here - I will watch this talk page, and that will keep the conversation in one place. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:34, 13 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
