[edit]notability
[edit]@Valereee please let me know what you want from me to remove the notability tag. Kimikel (talk) 17:55, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, Kimikel. What we like to see to support a claim to notability is three instances of significant coverage, two of which are from outside the area/outside industry niche publications. What I feel like I'm seeing is a lot of coverage in Houston, a couple of instances of routine business coverage in San Antonio, and nothing else? Which three sources would best support a claim to notability? Valereee (talk) 19:29, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry, meant to ping @Kimikel! Valereee (talk) 19:29, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Valereee thank you for the quick response. best i can do in that regard is the Conde Nast source, which is based in NYC and isn't an food industry-specific, it's just about travel in general. feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but i feel like that should suffice according to this passage, may not be applicable here just let me know Kimikel (talk) 21:11, 10 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Kimikel, the Conde Nast unfortunately isn't significant coverage. It's a few sentences in a '23 best' article, basically a listicle. We need to see RS covering the restaurant at length. Valereee (talk) 21:32, 10 July 2024 (UTC)

- Valereee Maybe this could be taken to AfD. SL93 (talk) 20:11, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- The creator is a pretty new editor. I'd like to give them a chance to either do some research and improve the sources, or do some research and decide to move to user space while they see if sources develop. Kimikel, FWIW, I have probably 40 drafts in my user space, waiting sources to develop. When I create an article, I write the initial draft in user space. When I get to the third instance of sigcov in an independent RS, I move to article space. If I don't find three, I leave it in user space for now. Valereee (talk) 20:21, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- I didn't realize that the editor was so new with how many great DYK reviews they did. Sorry about that. SL93 (talk) 20:23, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Valereee That's a fair suggestion, thank you for that and for informing me on notability guidelines. I honestly did not know beforehand, so that's very good to know. Kimikel (talk) 20:27, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- Huge amount of policy here, and a steep learning curve. :D Valereee (talk) 20:31, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have fixed the redirect. SL93 (talk) 20:38, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
