User talk:Kils/Virtual University/Faculty patrons
Faculty patrons is a motion of wiki editors to increase the academic reliability of content for the proposals of a Wikiversity. Patrons, members of a faculty, would read articles of their field and freeze that timestage under their name for the teaching projects, with a link to the life page. Example: Uwe Kils worked and published many years on krill, gave a stamp on the Antarctic krill page on June 18 for incorporation in a virtual class on Biology of Antarctica. Patrons should also invite other faculty and students to join, maybe forming a panel and creating a category:academia. They should create courses utilizing Wiki material and create discussion forums. Some might be willing to be available via videoconference at times. Maybe in a few years from now it might be possible for a student in the third world to add to her curriculum courses with literature and media from us wealthy communities.
