Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Tarja Winterstorm CD.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Tarja Winterstorm CD.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:19, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Hollywood Undead
[edit]Hi, thanks for your edits to this page and the creation of the page on the album. I have moved the page on the album to it's proper title in the mainspace for a couple of reasons. Firstly fair use images cannot be used in userspace so it's better if the album is at it's proper title thus hopefully preventing the image from being deleted. Secondly the title you created it under was actually in mainspace, to be in userspace it needs User: at the start of the title. As the album is not on Deletion Review there is no reason why it cannot be in mainspace (but it will probably share whatever is the fate of the band's article).
I have had to remove the image from the band's userspace article for the reason I mentioned above (non-free images cannot be used in userspace). I am going to prompt the two people who have already commented on the Deletion Review to try and get them to have another look now there is a userspace version. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Hollywood Undead.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Hollywood Undead.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:37, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Hollywood Undead.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Hollywood Undead.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Hollywood Undead I recieved this message about Hollywood Undead so I had to erase the stuff
[edit]A tag has been placed on Hollywood Undead (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. brewcrewer (yada, yada) 00:29, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit]No I reverted your edits back to a version I thought read better and was closer to verifiable facts. The version I reverted back to was a version that was better and more complete than the version of the page that was marked for deletion. The problems I had with your edit were:
- Bad punctuation (no spaces between sentences)
- The sentence stating the claim "youngest person to undergo gender reassignment treatment" was unnecessary as it is explained more completely in another paragraph.
- Your claim "She started posting songs on Myspace and Youtube and in 2008 she was signed to Joyce Records" does not appear to be accurate as I cannot find evidence she released any songs online prior to being signed by Joyce Records. Both 'Last Forever' and 'Fade Away' were released by Joyce Records. If you have references that prove otherwise please post them with your edits.

Snakeshit
[edit]Crandall was called Snakeshit in the movie. In scene #2 where Crandall and Moore met for the first time, Moore asks him about his men calling him "snakeshit" and Crandall replies: "That's an affectionate appellation of my comrades-in-arms, sir `cause I fly lower than snake shit". Further, in Scene #7, when Crandall is flying the first troops into the valley, you can clearly see "Snake" is stenciled on his helmet and the word "shit" is stuck on after it on a piece of tape. Crandall further refers to himself over the radio as "snakeshit" when bringing the first load of ammo into the secondary LZ.Niteshift36 (talk) 06:50, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014
[edit]→ I don’t like to think of laws as rules you have to follow, but more as suggestions.
Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.
Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)
- This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).
