Information icon Hello, I'm Boing! said Zebedee. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Tanoli, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:44, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the beliefs and claims of an ethnic group themselves are not considered reliable, and we need proper academic sources to attribute origins to peoples. We must also not use old sources to make our own deductions - for example, saying things like "As such the Tanoli most probably belong to Batani tribal confederation of Pashtuns", as that is an example of original research and/or synthesis. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 13:48, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Tanoli, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 22:44, 1 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Tanoli. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:31, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for persistently adding unsourced content. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by first reading the guide to appealing blocks, then adding the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:16, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I gave you three clear warnings to stop adding unsourced material to that article, and warned you that if you did it again you could be blocked. You did it again, so you are blocked. Please note that this is not a result of the discretionary sanctions warning below, but simply as result of these warnings here from me. But please do read the warnings below too, and be aware that blocks will rapidly escalate if you continue to edit war to replace sourced content with unsourced content. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:20, 8 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • And you have done the same again as soon as your last block expired. As you clearly have no intention of listening to anything you have been told and are set on adding unsourced material to the Tanoli article regardless of Wikipedia's policies, I see no other way of stopping you than an indefinite block - so that is what I have imposed. If you wish to contest the block, the instructions are in the previous block message I left you, above. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 06:59, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
