The preferred term is article, not "page"; this is an important distinction. one question I have is, would you commit to reading conflict of interest and paid editing, and making the required disclosure? I assume you represent Ms. Davis? 331dot (talk) 19:27, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- I am an intern in the music industry and believe that Sara Davis is going to be incredibly influential in the songwriting one day... She is Grammy nominated and I think has made so much impact in the last 2 years and she inspires me. I have read both of these documents. I understand the conflict of interest article as well as the paid editing portion. If I am not going to be allowed to create an article for someone who I believe deserves one, then who would be? This is my first time trying to do this and it is incredibly discouraging that despite research and attempting to share knowledge I am being stopped. Please advise. 173.10.208.6 (talk) 19:37, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- Please make sure you are logged in when you post. You are only blocked for your username; I was only looking for you to commit to abiding by the policies described; I am willing to lift it simply with the commitment, and I am willing to give you further advice. Short version- submitting a draft is the correct thing for you to do, and you may do so once unblocked. An intern counts as "paid editing" under our rules even if you receive no money. 331dot (talk) 20:17, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for clarifying. I think I am logged in correctly. This whole system is new to me so thank you for being patient. I think I am unsure how to disclose employer? Is that what is necessary for me to resubmit an additional draft? Kggeoria (talk) 21:08, 22 November 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, before you resubmit, please make the disclosure on your user page(User:Kggeoria). If you find the coding described at WP:PAID too challenging, you may simply write a statement to the effect of "I am intern at BMM publishing who represents Sara Davis, and I declare this to comply with the Wikipedia Terms of Use "(or whatever the nature of the COI is). 331dot (talk) 01:19, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
