Unicode makes your text accessible across people using different platforms and browsers. Also, most search engines can search Malayalam websites only if it is written in unicode. As a side note, the Malayalam Wikipedia uses unicode too. And I dont think it looks ugly.--thunderboltz(TALK) 14:15, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
