Speedy deletion nomination of Kevin Kihara Kamau

[edit]

Hello Kevin kihara,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Kevin Kihara Kamau for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Jackson Kamau Kihara requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.  Velella  Velella Talk   10:32, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Kevin Kihara Kamau. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 10:48, 19 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kikuyu people

[edit]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Kikuyu people appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 16:46, 23 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional edits to Kamau, yet again

[edit]

Despite the many, many messages above, you've again added links to the same people at the Kamau article, again without any evidence that these people meet Wikipedia's standards for the notability of people. Wikipedia isn't a directory of everyone on Earth - people need to meet the standards described in that policy page for them to qualify for an article. Unfortunately you have continued to add these same links over and over, to a variety of articles - it seems you're not interested in providing the necessary evidence that these individuals are notable, or in contributing to Wikipedia in any other way. You have to realise that we cannot, and will not, accept these articles, or links to them, until you provide the necessary proof, by means of multiple independent reliable sources, that these people really are notable. And you have to realise that by continuing to add this regardless, despite all the warnings above, serves to do nothing but make work for volunteers who have to clean up after you.

Frankly, we've given you plenty of notice, and you've just ignored us. So, bluntly, if you add these links back, you'll be blocked from editing Wikipedia altogether. -- Finlay McWalter··–·Talk 17:11, 18 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
