A tag has been placed on Draft:Banking on a Better Future requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://bankingonabetterfuture.org/about-us. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

I am a paid organizer and all we need is a simple explainer page to tell people who we are. We ARE NOT TRYING TO ADVERTISE OR PROMOTE. I'm getting extremely frustrated. There have been flags of copyright material because I wrote the website and I would like to keep trying to word things as differently as possible. Thanks. Kenzieeharriss (talk) 16:57, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The issue is Wikipedia is not to be used as a web host. There are a ton of websites you can use to explain who you are as an organization. If your org does not meet our notability guidelines, then the articles can't be created, period. This is promotion, as you admit you are using Wikipedia to "tell people who we are". Request reason:

I have understood the reasoning for my block. Thankfully I have taken on a contract with a new employer. We will be creating wiki pages to explain climate justice related content, we will not be sharing information about the Climate Justice Organizing Hub, the organization sharing the info. I apologize for misunderstanding and again will not be promoting or sharing who we are. Just sharing knowledge.

Decline reason:

I'd like you to prove that you can contribute to Wikipedia in a way that aligns with our purpose. Please read through our core content policies, how to cite sources, and this guide. It may also help to read our encyclopedia article about the site itself: Wikipedia. Using this knowledge and your understanding of what kind of content belongs on Wikipedia, please propose an edit here on your talk page that could be copy-pasted directly into one of Wikipedia's encyclopedia articles. It should be encyclopedic content that is cited to a reliable source. If you wouldn't find your proposed text in Encyclopedia Britannica, don't suggest adding it to Wikipedia. Just post the edit itself, don't copy-paste an entire encyclopedia article into your talk page. You can immediately make another unblock request with your response.
