June 2012[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Atlantic Records, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

Not very professional, are you?[edit]

You say you're a web designer, but you are most certainly NOT professional. Now knock it off before I block you. --MuZemike 00:58, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I gave you a chance, but you have spent it. Permanently blocked. --MuZemike 01:00, 7 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dear MuZemike,[edit]

I am sorry about doing that. I didn't mean to. I just wanted to try out Weird Al Yankovics' prank as White & Nerdy. Can you please unblock me? I won't do anything anymore to Atlantic Records wikipage.

-Kennster2012

Per our little conversation we had via email, I have unblocked you. However, please be aware that, if you disrupt the encyclopedia like that again, you will be re-blocked. --MuZemike 17:49, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

MuZemike[edit]

Thank You So Much! I won't do what I did ever again!

Figure It Out (Revival)[edit]

First, watch your tone, "Kennster". Second, you created an ALREADY existing article. You should've used the original article to improve it, not create a duplicate article. Platinum Star (talk) 22:51, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, I was mad at the time. Now, I am fine. Sorry about that. You are right. Sorry --Kennster2012 (talk) 23:30, 16 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on Muzemike's page[edit]

I saw your note on User Talk:MuZemike about being an admin. I just thought I'd drop you a little note to put adminstrating into perspective. First, in the past half a dozen years, no one has ever become an admin with less than 3000 edits, and the overwhelming majority of successful admin candidates have over 10,000. I, myself, waited until I had more than 20K to run. Additionally, most successful candidates have been editing Wikipedia for at least a year, often several years. In order to determine is someone would be a good admin, we need to see evidence of your editing behavior that shows that you 1) have the appropriate skills and behavior, and 2) understand Wikipedia's policies to a great degree. There's simply no way to tell that without seeing a large history. Additionally, since you were blocked, you're going to need to work extra hard and long to prove that you can handle the tools.

Finally, I'd just like to add one thing: being an admin is really not something to strive for. It just gives you a few extra tools (ability to protect pages, block users, and the trust to close contentious discussions). It's really just more work. Yes, Wikipedia needs admins. I'm glad to be one, but not because it makes me more powerful or something (it doesn't), but because it's something I can do for Wikipedia.

All of that being said, if you need help learning how to be a productive Wikipedian, please feel free to ask me. If you really do still think that you want to be an admin some day, the first thing you should do is start improving articles by editing them, because, after all, that's the main reason we're all (supposed to be) here. Qwyrxian, Ok I will try harder with my articles I create and also sorry about the Atlantic Records thing I just wanted to try to be like Weird Al Yankovic and be white and Nerdy. What is your email for questions? --Kennster2012 (talk) 19:23, 25 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Just leave me a message in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. It's generally better to conduct conversations about Wikipedia on the site--often other people will join conversations and provide more info. For example, if you had just been emailing MuzeMike, I never would have seen your comment and provided this advice here. Qwyrxian (talk) 02:31, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
