Again, welcome! Mangojuice 16:13, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
Regarding this person, an editor has expressed a concern. They're not concerned enough yet with notability that they're considering deleting it. Pointing to other articles on Wikipedia for notability is useless, since anybody (even people who don't care for notability guidelines or even policies like WP:V) can add an entry once they have an account over 3 days old. The essay Wikipedia:Inclusion is not an indicator of notability explains. But in this case, because of the very first source you cite (an obituary), an editor might be concerned that it doesn't pass WP:NOT, specifically that Wikipedia is not an memorial. Also, it seems that you're related somehow to the person in the article, so please read conflict of interest guidelines as well. I actually think the figure is notable enough to pass, but only because of the DNB entry (which describes that person in detail, yes?) ColourBurst 15:44, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Te DNB does indeed describe Claud in detail. I should like to add more information to what appears at present, but then I am told there may be copyright conflicts vis a vis the DNB. Perhaps an astute precis would be in order. Yes, I am related to this person. I shall stop writing about relatives and write what I know about the many acquaintances of mine who grace your pages. That might cause you other problems. I wonder whether this whole project is tenable in its present form. But who am I. Kenneth Jacob
- Seems a pity that you have been discouraged from contributing by the comment above. As I see it the COI guidelines refer to close relationships not long dead ancestors, some of these people are important and you are probably better placed than most to correct the errors that creep into official biographies. My interest arises because I am reading Alaric's book. Regards Motmit (talk) 11:14, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
How do I insert an image, both to replace an existing one with a better one, as also one from scratch?
