A belated welcome!
[edit]Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, KenHirsh. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Using non-free images
[edit]Hi KenHirsh. I just wanted to let you know that I have hidden an image file which was being mistakenly displayed in User:KenHirsh/sandbox. File:Uc-seal.png is a non-free image because Wikipedia considers it to be still under copyright protection. The usage of non-free content such as this file is pretty restricted and each usage is required to satisfy all 10 of the the non-free content criteria listed in WP:NFCCP. One these criteria is WP:NFCC#9 which states that non-free content may only be used (i.e., "displayed") in the article namespace, which means no user pages, sandboxes, templates, talk pages, etc. Non-free images may be linked to (i.e., "hid") like I have done above and like I did in your sandbox when they are being discussed, etc., but they should not be displayed. Please refer to Wikipedia:User pages#Non-free images for more details. Finally, feel free to ask any questions you may have about this either here or at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:47, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
