File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Wikipedia Tiddly TTaranaki Gun.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Polly (Parrot) 23:16, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

HMNZS Taranaki (F148)

[edit]

If the photo does not show the entire ship, it is not an acceptable infobox image. It can still be in the article, but not in the infobox. -MBK004 23:20, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have warned you. If you do not stop and either discuss this or place the image elsewhere from the infobox, you will be blocked for disruption. -MBK004 23:28, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for disruptive editing by refusing to enter discussions about edits as well as follow the Manual of Style.. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. -MBK004 03:22, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of edit warring to keep your image in the infobox of the article when it clearly is not an image of the entire ship, you should have engaged in a discussion on the article's talk page. Since you did not and persisted, you have been blocked. When your block is complete, you are more than welcome to engage in the discussion on the talk page: Talk:HMNZS Taranaki (F148). -MBK004 03:32, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All these warnings

[edit]

Hi, I'm a New Zealand-based Wikipedia editor. I see you have run into a bit of trouble with your edits. This might be because you don't fully understand the system. I suggest you try to explain your edits a bit more when people question them. You have an interest in HMNZS Taranaki (F148), but you have never posted to Talk:HMNZS Taranaki (F148). Please, try to discuss any edits which others might object to. I appreciate that it's not always easy to conduct a discussion over a text-based channel such as a Wikipedia talk page, but it is necessary on a collaborative work. Feel free to ask me for help on any matter at my talk page, or include a message here and I'll see it.-gadfium 04:45, 23 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Grand Hotel 1978.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Grand Hotel 1978.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:38, 21 January 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 01:38, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
