The article Bremen Fife FC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Amateur club, no particular notability established.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Bremen fife fc requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hang on to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Travelbird (talk) 05:48, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Frapeing and Notability

[edit]

I have replied to your passionate point about Notability here1 I have found stuffy people who revert and mention it irritating too ! I would be interested to hear your further views on the subject--— Tumadoireacht Talk/Stalk 04:33, 19 January 2011 (UTC) Since the above note an admin who has taken a keen interest in my career has chopped out the whole section. Here is what I had to say to you:[reply]

@ User Keen 3-Accuracy is important. And true, electronic storage is cheap but not infinite, and not free. Notability is a vexed question and hotly (and even occasionally coolly) contested on hundreds of articles and revisions here every day. There is an old cliché about patriarchy and porn where a Barrister asks at the trial of an indecent book "Would you want your wife or servant to read it?" In a similar vein - if your 10 year old child wanted to look up stuff on WP -would you not want the article she finds not only to be the most accurate but the most relevant ? Read the Notability section. It is here.2 but do not let anyone misuse it on you !. There is also a lively current debate about the Notability of Obama's Tucson speech(some want to delete it) Ifhere3--— Tumadoireacht Talk/Stalk 04:08, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- If you want to fight for an article on Bremen Fife -think of material that makes it uniquely interesting or consider instead--— Tumadoireacht Talk/Stalk 04:44, 19 January 2011 (UTC) putting a section about it in a more general article about football,or Scottish football.[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Keen 3/Bremen Fife FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
