Hello Kc0616,

Thanks for your creating the template "CPBL", but I think you missed the First Financial Holdings Agan in the defunct teams part. Can you please add it? Thanks first.

Format for records

[edit]

If you are going to change the format for the records (which is fine by me), please do it for ALL of the teams. I was aiming for consistency.

Thanks.

Ludahai 13:34, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Congrats on the Lions advancing. Our team really didn't play well, and the coaching didn't help in game two. Good luck against La New. They are really tough. Regardless of who wins, I will support them in the Asia series.

BTW, where did you get the all time placings? I have been trying to piece them together, but it seems like you have a really good source for them.

Ludahai 12:43, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am happy to help with the work on the numbers for the cpbl teams

Ludahai 04:33, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any info on the defunct teams? Ludahai 06:55, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, was the Challenger Cup postseason or preseason? You mention it was an exhibition series. Perhaps it belongs in a different category?

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chen_Lien-hong.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. MECUtalk 04:01, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

您好

[edit]

--Jitcji 15:47, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uplionslogo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Taiwanese military history

[edit]

Hi, I think you know a lot about Taiwan's military history. I asked the coordinator of Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history to create a task force for Taiwan, but he's afraid that the scope might be overlapped a lot with the Chinese task force and therefore might not be neccessary. He said that I should ask other people that might be interested. See the discussion here.--Jerry 15:09, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Uni-lions_logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Uni-lions_logo.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Military

[edit]

Hey, do you think there are over 100 Taiwanese military-related articles on Wikipedia?--Jerry 16:27, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No. It's just that the other task forces have at least 100 or more articles.--Jerry 18:20, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think there's no requirement for creating a task force. The Scope of WikiProject Military history actually includes the "Military personnel" and "Military facilities and structures," so maybe there are more articles than what we think.--Jerry 18:34, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Refer to WP:MILHIST#SCOPE.--Jerry 18:41, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Aerial Battle of Taiwan-Okinawa should certainly be included. I'm not sure about Koxinga, but I think it should too.--Jerry 18:47, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think any Taiwan-related article that is already part of the Military history project would be part of the Taiwanese task force.--Jerry 18:49, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I created the task force WP:TWWAR, but we still need to edit the project banner and that template is semi-protected.--Jerry 02:14, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[2], do you think what the battle should be called in English?--Jerry 23:29, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That link is actually pretty weird, it links to different stuff each time. What I was talking about was the battle between the Dutch and the Spanish. I'll try to work on the 郭懷一事件 too, though.--Jerry 19:47, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also, may I ask what were the three major rebellions during Qing rule? I know about the ones led by 朱一貴 and 戴潮春. However I think there are more, like 林爽文..., etc.--Jerry 20:05, 11 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Tainan gov.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Tainan gov.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Uni-Lions.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uni-Lions.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:06, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there.

Do you have any primary sources to substantiate your claim of a Formosan victory near Yunlin in early September 1895? As far as I know, while there was certainly a pause in the campaign to allow the Japanese to regroup after their shattering victory at Baguashan, the Formosans were defeated in more than one minor engagement during the first fortnight of September. See the paragraph Capture of Talibu in the main article Japanese invasion of Taiwan (1895). Your list of Formosan commanders in the infobox suggests that you have access to some interesting information, and I would be grateful if you could point me towards whatever Chinese source you used.

Unreferenced BLPs

Hello Kc0616! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 21 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 7 article backlog. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:Lions1.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lions1.jpg, which you've attributed to a fellow Uni-President Lions fan. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 17:45, 1 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Tainan baseball 016.jpg.

This image is a derivative work, containing an "image within an image". Examples of such images would include a photograph of a sculpture, a scan of a magazine cover, or a screenshot of a computer game or movie. In each of these cases, the rights of the creator of the original image must be considered, as well as those of the creator of the derivative work.

While the image description page states the source and copyright status of the derivative work, it only names the creator of the original work without specifying the status of their copyright over the work.

Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the original image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other derivative works, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. Thanks again for your cooperation. plicit 13:08, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Tainan baseball 011.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tainan baseball 011.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
