Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Karim Manouar, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Masood Azhar, have removed content without an explanation. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

Dating wars
[edit]We don't date wars like we do biographies. See some other high-profile wars as examples. El_C 01:28, 26 January 2018 (UTC)
Your edits at Chinese Civil War
[edit]It was explicitly explained to you ([1]) that the inclusion of date in the lead paragraph is misleading, as the war was interrupted in between, and the date gives a false impression of continuity. The actual date information are already covered in the Infobox. You would need to discuss your edits at Talk:Chinese Civil War before reverting again. A reminder that not communicating with your edits is a quick way to lose your editing privileges. Thank you. Alex Shih (talk) 09:09, 30 January 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Chinese Civil War, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. [edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to China does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 19:22, 19 February 2018 (UTC)
Boxer Rebellion
[edit]I have undone your recent additions to the lead section of Boxer Rebellion. The lead is meant both as an introduction to the topic and a summary of the article. Normally new content is not added to it but to the article body, properly sourced. The lead is already long enough and your additions made it much too long, as well as being misplaced.
Again, please use edit summaries with all of your edits. They help other editors understand your edits which is useful in many ways. Without them you are more likely to find your edits are removed, because they make no sense and no reason was given for them.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 20:33, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Mao Zedong, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 11:53, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Uyghurs, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Zeng Xueming, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Zanhe (talk) 10:21, 24 March 2018 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Việt Minh into First Indochina War. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:33, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Karim Manouar, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Karen people have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:32, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Kristin Kreuk. Content of this nature is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TJRC (talk) 22:24, 26 March 2018 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Sino-Indian War. If you are editing in good faith, you will use an edit summary to provide a valid reason for each edit. Simply changing sourced content and then removing the source, without explanation, is completely unacceptable. RivertorchFIREWATER 04:23, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Rafael Nadal, you may be blocked from editing. 4TheWynne(talk)(contribs) 04:24, 19 July 2018 (UTC)
Reasons?

Edit warring
[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mao Zedong. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
Will both of you stop edit warring and use the article talk page.Nigel Ish (talk) 19:39, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
