Help on citing sources

[edit]

I noticed you were having some difficulty formatting sources; Here is a tool that makes citing sources so much easier. Jacona (talk) 12:44, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jacona. I noticed that you removed topically-relevant content from a Wikipedia article. However, Wikipedia is not censored. Please do not remove or censor information that directly relates to the subject of the article. If the content in question involves images, you have the option to configure Wikipedia to hide images that you may find offensive. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jacona (talk) 12:46, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jacona. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Heritage School, Newnan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Jacona (talk) 13:18, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from The Heritage School, Newnan. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Please see Help:Maintenance template removal for further information on when maintenance templates should or should not be removed. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Bubba4369, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Hello, Karenvisser2000, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few links to pages you might find helpful:

You may also want to complete the Wikipedia Adventure, an interactive tour that will help you learn the basics of editing Wikipedia. You can visit the Teahouse to ask questions or seek help.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Again, welcome! If you're interested in becoming a net positive contributor to the encyclopedia, please read the material above. When you find your edits being reverted, discuss it on an appropriate talk page. I would like to emphasize a couple of policy/guideline type pages that are especially applicable here: WP:COPYVIO, WP:CENSOR, WP:RS, WP:AGF, WP:NPA, WP:BRD. Most experienced editors will be glad to help you if you engage them in discussion. They may choose to ignore you if you just keep trying to do the same thing over and over but won't talk about it. Thanks! Jacona (talk) 15:12, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Slightly belated follow-up to the SPI

[edit]

The thing about CheckUser is that it is a tool available to a select few users that can detect if multiple accounts are abusively operated by the same person (sockpuppetry). If you really aren't a sockpuppet account like you state, then CheckUser will identify you as "unrelated". If you're lying and you really are a sockpuppet account, then CheckUser will identify you as "confirmed". After the results are given by the CheckUser, he or she will take appropriate measures against all suspected accounts: either blocking them, or leaving them unblocked. Assuming what you say is true, there's absolutely nothing to worry about, and you'll be fine. Try visiting the Teahouse; the Teahouse is a very useful place for new editors to ask questions, gain experience, and learn how to edit Wikipedia well in general. I think you'll find it very useful.
