The article Missionary Sedhan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Apparently unremarkable publication of a missionary college, with no assertion of notability. Source only demonstrates its existence, not its notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Sikhism in Norway may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "[]"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Warning - Creation of unsourced articles

[edit]

Hello Karantsingh, Please stop creating unsourced or poorly sourced articles. Despite getting enough warnings in past you have continued to create poorly sourced articles. Please consider this a warning. If you continue this behavior, I will report you to administrators and you may be blocked from editing. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 01:50, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    • Vigyani, I had contributed in many articles, with many appropriate sources and done several required updates on various articles, with appropriate references. I use sources like Newspaper, Magazines, Government Websites and Books. While starting a new article, I use to put -> Under Construction <- template on same. Remember, I am not regular or daily visitor of wiki, so some articles status remained on hold, but it does not mean that it will remain on hold. So instead of telling me the way to resolve it out, you have started showing me the administrator shoe, of which i am not scared. Please go and tell them. If they want to delete my account, please request them to remove each and every work i have done on wiki starting from 13:34, 26 February 2014. Or. Tell me what way you want me to create an article. Thanks (Karantsingh (talk) 10:03, 11 December 2014 (UTC))[reply]
  • I have brought your reply here so that entire discussion can be kept in one place. You can also reply here itself instead of posting on my talk page. I appreciate your creation of many articles and providing sources. The problem is with many other articles which either don't have sources or are poorly sourced. To begin, the under construction tag is generally not to be used on new articles with small content. However, problem is not that you want to develop articles at slow pace. Problem is sourcing. Infact some of the articles such as Padarath, Guru Ki Maseet are/were completely unsourced. The solution for you is that you can write only that much for which you are going to add sources. Next time, when you bring more sources, you can add more text. If you have less time, you can create one article at a time. But still if you want to continue the way you are doing right now, you can create articles in your userspace (for ex. User:Karantsingh/ARTICLENAME) and bring them to mainspace, whenever the article is ready. Unsourced text in mainspace is detrimental for WP quality. Now coming to admin shoe, some of your articles have been deleted, some articles PRODed earlier. These many notifications were enough message to indicate that you need to do more to show the notability of the subjects. For Nadu Shah Labana, I wrote to you specifically to provide sources without PRODing it, but you didn't get the hint. Moreover, it was no shoe. Blocks are not punitive, but to prevent disruption. Many users contributing much more than you or me are often blocked, when the fail to follow WP policies. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 12:35, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I do not care of other VOLUNTEERS who are contributing more are deleted. It is about me. If i am doing something wrong, it is acceptable, and will try to correct. I have provided Government Websites, Historical Gurdwara Sources and Books for Nadu Shah Labana. He was one of noted among Early Sikhs. Now you will say there are Early Thousand. Sorry we do not have name of all Early Thousands in history but few shining stars are named in history, their memorials are made preserved and even government not hesitate to take their name in their websites which i have sourced and Sikh preachers also use his name while preachings. If you will say Nadu Shah Labana is not notable, on what grounds? Then many other recognize Early Sikhs article can be removed. I will add more Bookish Sources for you. If article is Unsourced, then add template to add sources and message me, instead proposing it for deletion. By mistake i opened wiki and saw this, else you could have remove all work in a second. Jathedar Baba Chet Singh is again a Notable personality in realm of Sikhs. Previously you also question Jamalpur Encounter Case which was hot topic during that period, and your admins kept it. Remember I am not volunteer, not your employee. Some things take time to learn. How i interpret Wiki Definitions can be differ how other. So this mismatch lead to creation of such non notable articles. As you are front face, so it is your duty to understand how i understand notability and what actually wiki wants. I will give you as many sources you want. But as of now i understand and i will create article on my userspace. For Padarath, i will add sources shortly as Now i need to go away from system and may return on Monday. Lets see if wiki can keep padarath, The important aspect of Guru Granth Sahib :p (Karantsingh (talk) 12:57, 11 December 2014 (UTC))[reply]
1. To know about if any of the article you are interested in is changed, use watchlist and by configuring your email ID, you can get email whenever article is edited. 2. Nadu Shah Labana was just an example. See, when something is not-notable, we don't have to prove it. But if it is notable, we have to prove it. WP:BURDEN. 3. We all are volunteers. 4. Many Sikhs maybe notable, but until we provide sources to verify, we can not write article. This is general problem with large number of Indian topics (in general with all developing countries). But we can't help it. Infact you maybe surprised to know that in some cases, something which we think is wrong maybe right on WP, if majority of the world believe otherwise. See Wikipedia:Verifiability, not truth. And I am no front face, I just try to help new users and do my bit. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 14:02, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Jhatka Parkash

[edit]

The article Jhatka Parkash has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

fails WP:NBOOKS

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The article Baba Darbara Singh has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 10:37, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Darbara Singh

[edit]
  • Article Darbara Singh was tagged because it had zero sources to verify anything in the article. You have added some sources, but I am not convinced that the subject still passes notability guidelines which require "multiple reliable sources independent of the subject". Mahan Kosh has only a passing mention and the Budda Dal website is not independent of the subject. Self-published or the sources related to the subject are not considered reliable. So I urge you to add any other sources you know to show that the subject is notable. Any newspaper article on him, any discussion about him in some book etc.
    • Darbara Singh was a Jathedar of Khalsa Panth. I think there should be no doubt on his notability. If you doubt, it will be like Every Jathedar of Khalsa Panth is not notable and only Akali Phula Singh is notable. Again, Like Jains have 24 Tiranthkara and Sumatinatha is one of them, which is as Notable as Mahavira, But if you check his article, it is so short with one reference only same with others like Abhinandananatha. So I am trying to understand this point that: why a person who served as Jathedar of Khalsa Panth is not notable? or is Khalsa Panth not notable? Buddha Dal is oldest, well known Nihang Organization and its official website is one of good resource for information on the same. Mahankosh is itself a good reference and external source (not official like Budha Dal). As i have not added life history of this person which i know and it remain informational only. Rest i will reply you and add references for both in evening or tomorrow.
      • I am not in doubt about the actual real world notability of Darbara Singh. He was Jathedar of Buddha Dal and so an important leader. But for WP, we need sources to show that. Normally I try to find the sources before nominating any article for deletion. But if there is not much online information available, then I nominate for deletion. Sumatinatha and Abhinandananatha also appears to be unnotable going by the present sources. However, we can't knowingly add problems to one article just because the problems exist elsewhere, you can see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. If you think that they don't pass WP:GNG, you can nominate them for deletion. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 07:46, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jhatka Prakash

[edit]
  • Jhatka Prakash, according to me it fails all the requirements mentioned at WP:NBOOKS. I can't repeat all of them here and just put "no" in front of each. Since you believe that it passes WP:NBOOKS, I will ask you to point out which criteria it passes. --Vigyanitalkਯੋਗਦਾਨ 06:41, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • #Added two independent Book sources referring Jhatka Prakash for its contribution and content type. #It was published by SGPC (Primary Institution of Sikhs for Management of Sikh Gurdwaras) and also author was Member of SGPC. #It was published in response to known author whose article is also on Wikipedia name Ranjit Singh, so have historical significant in literary war. If you think more is required to make it notable please mention what kind of sources will be good? some newspaper sources? or more books references?
