Speedy deletion nomination of Subramania Bharathi
[edit]A tag has been placed on Subramania Bharathi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. WuhWuzDat 14:08, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Alagappa.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Alagappa.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:06, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Karaikudi. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. The page still needs a lot of work, so please leave the templates on the page... Paris1127 (talk) 07:40, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
Hi, Please do not add unreferenced content as it will always be reverted. The notable people part mostly need not be part of places articles, but can be a separate article on its own - try adding a new page in the topic with references. Thanks a lot.Ssriram mt (talk) 14:26, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- It doesn't work that way - there were lot of discussion on the topic. You can point links from the places page, but not amass. Also i see you have removed referenced content on politics, which would invite admin action. References are key to any article and removing them is by no means encouraged (unless unreliable). Also make use of the article talk page if you want to discuss additions. The page is aligned in line with other good articles in Tamil Nadu like Tirunelveli, Madurai and Rameswaram. I appreciate such a list of notable people be created and linked from here. Please add reliable references for additions - once again, thanks a lot.Ssriram mt (talk) 14:48, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
- Size is not a criteria, but struct of similar article is. I am not sure of rticles in Aus you refer to, but check WP:GA or WP:FA for high quality content. Your list can be in line with List of Athabasca University people (based on number of people quoted), which is a featured one. Always ensure the guidelines of wiki and that of the respective project, which in case of Karaikudi is WP:India, are followed. I am adding content to Karaikudi to make it a good article - feel free to add referenced content - all unref/undue will be removed.Ssriram mt (talk) 15:39, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
