wah wah wah. I wrote it and I didn't sell it. Yes, I published it on Ed's site, too. But I own that copyright. Whatever. I wrote something new.

Welcome to Wikipedia

Hello, Kangarooelaine, and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia is one of the world's fastest growing internet sites. We aim to build the biggest and most comprehensive encyclopaedia in the world. To date we have over four million articles in a host of languages. The English language Wikipedia alone has over one million articles! But we still need more! Please feel free to contribute your knowledge and expertise to our site.

If you need help see:

Here are a few more good links for newcomers:

We hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using three tildes (~~~), or four (~~~~) if you want date stamp; this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. I've reduced the protection on Viacom to semi, so established users should have no problem editing. I think a section on the YouTube takedowns is a good idea; just make sure it's properly sourced. And fair warning, the page was protected last night because of a lot of vandalism that appeared to be from Stephen Colbert fans who were upset about Viacom's actions on YouTube. I can't say I blame them (fair use? hello?) but please do keep an eye on that while you're working. Again, welcome! Vary | Talk 20:43, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on John A. McDougall, M.D., requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of John A. McDougall, M.D. and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Boffob (talk) 16:53, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
