[edit]omunyekandi is a small village found in Ohangwena Region, northern Namibia, on the border Angola in Ondobe constituency.Its 15 km away from ondobe and 37 km awy from Eenhana.This informal settlement is home to araund 80000 people.Its is neighbour to okanghudi,Etomba and Onamunama villages. All people live in this village they oshikwanyama speaking group . [1]
Education
[edit]The village has one school which offer grade 1 to 10 and Most students completed secondary education and some are pursuing certain professions at tertiary institutions Parents on this settlement they train their children how to deal with traditonal issue such as cooking and looking after domestic animals.
Economics
[edit]The main activity in this village is farming and keeping livestock.The village economy is based on subsistence farming with 80% of the population engaged in crop farming and cattle herding. Farming and labour migration are the major livelihood sources of most house holds in the village. The region has a high unemployment rate of 50%.[2]
