Good Article reassessment archiving

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for sorting this out. As well as the GAN process I was hoping to piggyback on the reassessment one. The bot that used to archive the reassessments has not run for a number of years now. As you can see Category:GAR/60 contains 150 entries, but none of them are in Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Archive 60. The last proper archived reassessment was April 2015 in Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Archive 59. The whole archiving system was strange, where a number had to updated manually to change the archive number at the toolserver. The most recent discussion (with links to others can be found at Wikipedia:Bot requests/Archive 76#GAR archiving. I would suggest that the easiest solution would be to redo the archiving function. The community reassessments are held on their own subpages (i.e. Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Ugetsu/1 or Wikipedia:Good article reassessment/Gun violence in the United States/2). An open one has a {{GAR/current}} template on it and when it is closed that is removed and replaced with {{subst:GAR/result}}. AIRcorn (talk) 22:31, 23 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
