Additions of http://.bl.uk
[edit]Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.--Hu12 (talk) 15:17, 5 August 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Iona and Peter Opie. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 17:18, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
British Library
[edit]Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for taking the time to add all the great links from the British Library archives. Editors here get a bit twitchy about adding a lot links at once from one organisation as it can be taken as promotion for that body rather than just linking to good material. I think it's all excellent, appropriate, high quality stuff but I expect any more links would be reverted as suspected spamming. If you wish to add more it would be worth checking it out first by posting details at Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard. Best wishes and happy editing. Span (talk) 09:03, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
