Hi Katie! I looked over your sandbox edits on the obstetrical bleeding page. Here are my suggestions:

  • Early pregnancy section: is it necessary to mention the ICD-10 code? It seems sort of out of place. In addition, I'm sure you probably know this, but the second and third sentence were double copied. In the differential diagnosis section, it might be nice to include a little blurb about each letter in the mnemonic. Some of them are explained, but others aren't, so this could help clarify these sections, especially for those with no medical background. In the other causes section, you could probably link to the wikipedia pages of IUD, etc.
  • Later pregnancy: This section appears a little choppy and does not flow well at this time. The last sentence could say "A placental abruption (in which there is premature separation of the placenta) can also lead to obstetrical hemorrhage, which is sometimes concealed" or something similar. I don't think you need a colon when you are discussing the other considerations since it's not a list. Rather, it could read "Other considerations when assessing antepartum bleeding include sterile vaginal exams that are performed in order to assess dilation of the patient approaching the 40th week as well as cervical insufficiency, which is defined as a midtrimester (14th-26th week) dilation of the cervix which may need medical intervention to keep the pregnancy viable."
  • During labor: I made a brief edit to the first sentence for flow.
  • After delivery: do you have a citation for the first sentence that's defining the amount of blood lost? This section just feels like a bunch of definitions so if you could add something else to it I think that would improve this section.

Overall note: All of your citation links work, so that's great! I think you have done some nice work on this article but just have a few more edits to do! Great job. This is a very important article in the obstetrics/gynecology field, so thank you for picking it to improve it. A xi (talk) 04:57, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
