Notice

The article Kojo Yankson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

See Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kojo Yankson (2nd nomination). Non-notable radio announcer. Probably eligible for G4. If this article contains substantial new information, please request that a copy of the deleted article be made available for email via comparison. Otherwise it can assumed another AFD would have the same result.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Kojo Yankson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kojo Yankson (2nd nomination). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Re:Kojo Yankson

[edit]

The article was deleted by consensus of wikipedians and when recreated was not sufficiently different to justify retaining the article on site (CSD G4). For the man to return here his bio needs to include his noble prize, or his two terms as prime ministers, or the billions he now makes owning the radio conglomerate, etc. And since his article has been persistently recreated its been locked down to force the next guy into building a better article that meets all the standards for inclusion and is not sufficiently similar to the existing versions which were deleted. For getting the article back into the main space its not possible, the community has ruled he is not notable by wikipedia standards and that ruling is what will be enforced until new consensus trumps the old, and that can only happen in the draft article is sufficiently improved to show notability. For now, stick to working on Draft:Kojo Yankson and carefully read the decline reasons. When and if the reviewers feel you have a shot we can discuss bringing the draft out, but thats a long way off. In the interm, you may wish to read through Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Academy, its set up for the military history project but a lot of the information in there applies in broad strokes to articles outside the miltiary history project's purview.
