Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Fivefilters", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually, such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username, by completing this form, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. IffyChat -- 11:24, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Couple of points.[edit]

1. This "we" business. Shared accounts are not permitted.

2. KalHolmann was told not to post links to off-wiki attempts at privacy violations. You can do what you like on your website, but the Wikimedia Foundation's rules on outing and outing attempts are firm and non-negotiable.

You and KalHolmann are still welcome to contribute to the case. Crying "censorship" and stalking off will only make your complaints look less credible. Guy (Help!) 20:17, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

1. This Wikipedia account is not shared. I didn't know about that particular rule until I got the message from Iffy above.
2. What's the off-wiki attempt at privacy violation? It would help if those censoring information here would explain that. At the moment, it certainly looks like censorship. (Have to say, bit rich to hold up the "firm" and "non-neogtiable" rules on outing when you've apperently been happy to out people here on Wikipedia yourself.) --Fivefilters (talk) 21:59, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It's not "censoring". Use of that word when admins revision-delete material is a red flag for serious conflicts between someone's agenda and the core polciies of this site, so it's best to ask why it was done rather than cry malfeasance.
We do not include, or link to, speculation about the real-world identities of editors. See WP:PRIVACY. That policy comes straight from the Wikimedia Foundation.
Normally, anyone who does this is instantly banned. KalHolmann has not been banned, because it's unlikely he properly understood the issue and because he may be able to provide useful evidence to establish the root of the problem. Guy (Help!) 14:26, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

June 2018[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you. ~ Rob13Talk 03:34, 12 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
