Image copyright problem with File:BC LIONS 50's.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:BC LIONS 50's.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Sortability on head coaches lists
There was a question about sorting on head coaches lists at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of New York Islanders head coaches. I do not think that it is possible. Could you give us an opinion please? Thanks in advance, Dabomb87 (talk) 19:47, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

List of World Series of Poker Ladies Champions
Hey there Srekal, First sorry about not getting your user name changed. Second, I need help with another list that I am working on. There are a few events that get a fair amount of coverage every year... HORSE (which is new), the Main Event, and the Ladies Championship. Well, the problem that I have is that while the Ladies Championship is one of the more hyped event every year most of the women who have won it don't necessarily deserve their own article. Thus, when I use the sortname option, it is producing a lot of "redlinks." What should I do? I could create stubs, but the stub would truly be the most basic form of a stub. I could also link to the tournament year in which they won, but that is already done. Any advice on how to handle this?---Balloonman PoppaBalloonCSD Survey Results 06:06, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for asking me that question, but I'm afraid I can't answer that for you. I would love to help with the article (without an FLC nomination) as (if you saw my userpage; About me section) I am a big fan of Texas hold 'em. I'm sure other FLC reviewers (ie. Chrishomingtang, Dabomb87, Scorpion0422, Matthewedwards, or WT:FLC) may be able to answer that for you. In my opinion, I think you should create the articles, and since they are poker champions, then you (with WP:POKER) could maybe even nominate some for T:TDYK. I also suggest you remove those infoboxes on the article. -- SRE.K.A

Its fine. Its in Billboard.com. It would be perfect if Billboard pubishes news on the Canadian Hot 100, but they do not. Here. But non-news links are actually much helpful. They provide issue date like this:
CHARTS: Canadian Hot 100
Artist: Timbaland Featuring OneRepublic
Title: Apologize
Issue Date: 09/08/2007
Promotion Label: Mosley/Blackground/Interscope
Distribution Label: Universal

Hi, do you mind if I start a peer review for this? Or are you going to start one soon? The featured topic is almost complete, and since this article does not meet the unwritten 10-article limit, it has to be audited (peer-reviewed) to per the FT criteria. I noticed that you are creating this list on your sandbox. I don't think it is a good idea to have such a long list when it could be split into a few lists: List of NBA head coaches: A-C, List of NBA head coaches: D-F, etc... —Chris! ct 19:44, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Your work done won't be wasted. The lists can still contain the exact same info and format. It is just separated into a few different lists, that's all.—Chris! ct 20:01, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Ok. After some thinking, I believe it is best to seperate this list into three lists: List of NBA head coaches: A–F (94 coaches), List of NBA head coaches: G–M (95 coaches) and List of NBA head coaches: N–Z (96 coaches), with List of NBA head coaches being the lead article. Just note that this arrangement is not new and has been used before (e.g. List of gay, lesbian or bisexual people and its daughter lists).—Chris! ct 21:41, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
- Well, just treat the prose as the lead for a list. And yes I will write it in my sandbox, so you or someone can help.—Chris! ct 01:44, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

OWN
Hey SREKAL! Just wanted to mention something about your comments at Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Pittsburgh Penguins head coaches. I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, but the whole "I need consistency" and "I want more consistency", etc. comments came off a bit OWN-ish. Like I said, not trying to criticize or anything, and I understand that you've worked quite hard on the head coaches FT thus far and want consistency, but it'd probably be a good thing to be a little less blunt with those kinds of statements. Just a friendly reminder! – Nurmsook! talk... 06:33, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with ya, just saying. Just the way it came off...perhaps "the article could use more consistency" would be a more appropriate way to word it than "I want more consistency". "I" just sort of makes it sound like "I am the leader, so do what I want" as opposed to the community-based approach that is Wikipedia. Anyways, not a huge deal or anything. Like I said, more of a reminder or pointing-out if you will. – Nurmsook! talk... 06:47, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Copy-edit?
Hey SREKAL. I did the copyedit as you asked. I'm sure it'll get some more comments when you FLC it, but I think I covered most glarring problems (of which there were only a few). One note, I think that this section—"The longest tenured Canucks captain was Stan Smyl, who was appointed for eight seasons. Smyl is also the only captain to have spent his entire NHL playing career with the Canucks."—could use a cite, even though it is represented in the table. I added a sentence about Mitchell and Ohlund to clarify the Luongo situation. The only other thing that might come up would be someone questioning why the Canucks had no captain in 1974–75. I'm not sure if there was any particular reason, but you just know someone's going to jump on it lol. Otherwise, it definately has my support. Anytime we can add another FL to WP:CANUCKS, I'm a happy guy! Just a heads up, I'm doing a bunch of lists for NCAA men's ice hockey tournaments (going for a FT incorporating the NCAA national championship and all the conference championships) and will at some point be asking ya for your list expertise. In fact, I just created the first one List of CHA Men's Ice Hockey Tournament champions. It's still a work in progress, but that's the general format I have, so if you have any pointers, lmk! Thanks! – Nurmsook! talk... 01:24, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
Updating stats
Hey. I noticed this edit you made. Just a reminder, per WP standard, we should refrain from updating stats until the end of the season. Most player articles usually include this tag:
- "<!-- DO NOT UPDATE CURRENT YEAR STATS UNTIL END OF SEASON PER WIKIPEDIA STANDARD AS IT MAKES A MESS OF THE EDITS DATABASE AND WIKIPEDIA IS NOT INTENDED TO BE UP TO THE MINUTE SPORTS STAT DATABASE -->"
...but I see this particular article doesn't have that. Anyways, just a reminder as this has been a longstanding consensus at WP:HOCKEY. – Nurmsook! talk... 05:31, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
- Any easy way to beat the need is by doing something like is in place at Daniel Sedin and link to his OHL page. One way to do things. Also, if you get a chance, could you take a peak at that CHA list article I linked you. I'm just wondering what you think I should include in the lead (ie: most winner, most coach winner, etc.) Thanks! – Nurmsook! talk... 06:12, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

No problem. Actually you're the first to comment. ... The sports list articles are pretty good. - Sure. I was also going to mention, lists of NFL starting quarterbacks at Lists of NFL starting quarterbacks and at Template:NFLteamstartingquarterbacks lack tablature or are working with simple two-column and three-column tablature that lack statistics. At Category:American football quarterbacks there seem to be only two NCAA teams with quarterback lists, Boston College and BYU. --Mr Accountable (talk) 08:15, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
