Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Justforthefun17, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Henrik Palmgren ‎ have not conformed to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and has been or will be removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or in other media. Always remember to provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles. Additionally, all new biographies of living people must contain at least one reliable source.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to the new contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask a question on your talk page. Again, welcome.  Grayfell (talk) 20:19, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

no worries, I had planned to add more sources later. Since, I hadn't finished editing the article. When, I won't edit the article again until I find sufficient sources first. --Justforthefun17 (talk) 20:22, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Nawal Al Zoghbi, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 13:00, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Diana Haddad.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. - FlightTime (open channel) 13:01, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I added info on the bio info box that was already included in the article. How is that "disruption" ? --Justforthefun17 (talk) 14:35, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Categories in biography articles

[edit]

Information icon Please do not add religion, ethnic, or descent categories or information to biography articles without first ensuring that 1) the category is supported by reliably sourced article content, 2) the individual identifies as such, and 3) it is a defining characteristic of the individual. All three requirements must be met for the information or category to be included. Please see WP:BLPCAT, WP:EGRS, and WP:CATDEF for additional information.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:56, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

which article would you be referring to? --Justforthefun17 (talk) 19:58, 11 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Arabic-language Christian music singers has been nominated for discussion

[edit]

Category:Arabic-language Christian music singers, which you created, has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. A discussion is taking place to see if it abides with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you. Unsourced biographical information

[edit]

Please don't add unsourced biographical information, such as birth dates, as you did in this edit. Wikipedia has a strict sourcing requirement for biographies to protect the privacy of living individuals and prevent unreliable information from getting into their articles. You can sometimes find citations for birth dates in interviews, but keep in mind that many websites that purport to have this information (such as the IMDb) are not considered reliable sources by Wikipedia. August 2017

[edit]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Matthew Modine. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. I was going to assume you were just adding a category without confirming that it was supported by the article text, but reviewing your Talk page, I see you've made multiple unsupported edits to BLPs. Please stop. DonIago (talk) 14:09, 11 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
