Men/Women writers

[edit]

Bear in mind that when you create categories such as Category:21st-century female writers from Northern Ireland you should (1) generally use the word 'women' rather than 'female' and (2) the members of the category should also remain in the main (non-diffused) parent category. Most professional men/women define themselves by their profession rather than their sex (and this sort of subcategorisation led to some negative publicity for Wikipedia in 2016). Category:20th-century American male comedians has been nominated for discussion

[edit]

Category:20th-century American male comedians, which you created, has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. A discussion is taking place to see if it abides with the categorization guidelines. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the categories for discussion page. Thank you. So I see you're new here, JustaguyontheInternet, unless you're up to something else. Since you're new, you shouldn't edit in areas you're not well-versed in and you should definitely stop when you don't have consensus. Chris Troutman (talk) 23:03, 5 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
