Welcome, June meow!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, June meow! I'm WindTempos, and I've been assigned as your mentor. About half of new Wikipedia accounts receive a mentor chosen randomly from a list of volunteers. It just means I'm here to help with anything you need! We need to have all kinds of people working together to create an online encyclopedia, so I'm glad you're here. Over time, you will figure out what you enjoy doing the most on Wikipedia.
You might have noticed that you have access to a tutorial and suggested edits. It's recommended that you take advantage of this, as it'll make learning how to edit Wikipedia easier.
If you need assistance with anything or have any questions, click on the "Get editing help" button on the bottom right corner of your screen. This will open up a module with links to help pages and a place to ask me questions. You can also ask me questions directly on my talk page, or go here to get help from the wider community.

User warnings
[edit]Meowdy, June! I saw you've been reverting vandalism lately. When doing so, it is recommended to leave a warning for the user. Have a look at the list of codes for them. You can paste these in manually on the editor's talk page. There are quite a few, but the very first one ("blatant vandalism") works most of the time. You can go up a level if the editor keeps doing it, and you are allowed to skip levels if it is clear the editor is not editing in good faith.
In addition, in about four days, you can use tools like Twinkle (though I don't think Twinkle specifically works on mobile). It adds a "rollback vandalism" button to the changes page. Pressing it will revert the edit and bring up a warning menu. That way you don't have to go looking for the codes every time.
Perhaps you saw my first message... Indeed I used one of the "warning" templates to tell you about the warning templates, but I thought it was a bit impersonal. In the time I spent writing this, it looks like you already got the hang of it, well done! But I am still leaving this message in case it has some useful information. - Ooo, thank you, very helpful message! I'll have a look at the codes, and thanks for letting me know about Twinkle. I did have a quick look when I saw the old message, so thank you for pointing me in the right direction! June meow (talk) 15:11, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
