re: Terry Young

[edit]

I apologise if I was mistaken by seeing your edits as vandalism. By looking at your edits, you twice replaced the page with:

Terry Young (b. 1978 Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an artist.

As the page is currently about a politician, your edits did truly appear as vandalism by my eyes. However, you can create the page Terry Young (artist) if you wish.

On the other note, I'm not actually British—I'm just a bit of an Anglophile. :P I'm of Scotch-Irish descent. I was born in Tennessee and have been living here ever since. Latics (talk) 07:02, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The image is at PUI now, so you can discuss the matter there. My issue is that I don't see the point- what use is the image? If it's by you, then it's original research and of no use in articles (if it's meant for your userspace for whatever reason, that's fine, I'll withdraw the nomination). Sketches, unless previously published or by a notable artist, are generally not of much use. J Milburn (talk) 20:44, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly what permission was given (could you copy/paste the phrase?) and who gave you this permission? J Milburn (talk) 13:31, 29 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Terry Young (artist)

[edit]

I have nominated Terry Young (artist), an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Terry Young (artist). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
