Samir Arora

[edit]

Hi Julie, I see from your contributions that you only appear to edit articles associated with Samir Arora. Are you connected in any way with the topic? -- HighKing++ 11:57, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey HK! Not connected with wikipedia page. I mostly do minor edits unreg, will start to reg more based on your message. On the wikipage you edited (good catches BTW) I started to edit when Peter Eisenberg (Old timer on wiki) who created this page retired from doing edits. Many of your deletions were originally written by him, so when you deleted them, I restored. Agree that it needed to be written better based on citations and references, but could you look at my additions from the past and leave ones that have references. With Peter gone of wikipedia, some of the old references/links have been not updated. See if you are ok with the version I just posted, I went back to look at what Peter had added, verified and checked as much as I can. Ty.
Hi Julie, the requirements for writing biographical articles, especially those of living people, have tightened considerably in recent times. I've pointed several times at WP:BIO and WP:BLP and you should read those articles as they are very clear on what is, and what is not, allowable. I've looked at what you've added back in, but the problem is that most of the information you have re-added is either not supported by the reference, or the reference does not meed WP:BLPSPS (that is, a source that is not connected with Arora). Pay particular attention to WP:BLPSPS because roughly speaking, it means that sources that reference interviews with Arora, or sources that are Arora's bio articles on companies he was involved in, or quotations from Arora, are not regarded as reliable sources for primary information. Also, be aware of WP:3RR. You've reverted my edits 3 times and you should not revert again, at least until there's agreement on the article Talk page about what we can put in and what we can't. -- HighKing++ 12:53, 21 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Julie, this is a warning template to point out that what you already know - that is, you are attempting to force your changes into the article where it is either WP:SYNTH or WP:PEACOCK. You have stated that you have no connection with the subject of the article page, Mr. Arora, but yet you state "I started to edit when Peter Eisenberg (Old timer on wiki) who created this page retired from doing edits". Peter Eisenberg was in contact with Mr. Arora during the creation of the article and throughout the editting of the article and much of the problematic additions were put in place by Peter, the same edits you are trying to preserve without providing a rational explanation. In addition, you only appear to edit articles connected with Mr. Arora and as such, it appears you are a single purpose account. If you continue to edit without consensus being reached on the Talk page, your behaviour will be reported and you may (and I stress the word "may") end up receiving a temperory block. You are already in breach of WP:3RR which you were warned about previously, and that by itself could also result in you receiving a temporary block. -- HighKing++ 15:32, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Julie, I've requested another pair of eyes on the article at WP:3O. -- HighKing++ 15:48, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
