Ouch
[edit]Hi. I saw your post over at the help desk about losing hours of work. I don't have anything useful to say, except -- man, that stinks, and I'm really sorry that happened! It sound frustrating. I appreciate your effort, and I hope you persevere!
It's OK to save your work every few minutes, if you like. Or work in Notepad, like the man said, works -- copy in the article (or section) into Notepad, edit it, and copy it back out. You should be able to do it in a word processor too.
In fact, if you go TOO long editing an article between saves, you increase the risk of the dreaded Edit Conflict -- someone has edited the article between the time you started editing it and went to save. (It's not really dreadful, since it gives you instructions on how to save your work, but its annoying).
